"We really enjoyed our stay at the Tarna. Decent breakfast spread without being overly fancy. The free shuttle to and from town (and to and from the ferry) was greatly appreciated. The onsite dive school was excellent and we had great dives with them. The fact that their equipment is in great condition and they have their own traning pool at the hotel were big pluses. We had a room with its own pool, which we really enjoyed - But be aware that these rooms are all facing onto the construction site...
"The staff were so kind and always greeted us with the brightest welcome. Rooms were clean spacious and the location is great as it’s in 5 minute walking distance to the main part of town but far enough away that you don’t hear all the late night noise. "
"I stayed in the dorm which had 5 single beds as opposed to the usual bunk beds. Beds were reasonably comfy, only came with one blanket, and no towels provided. Aircon and fans available in the room. Staff were relatively friendly, but did not offer advice about the area/things to do etc... without being asked.
A short minute or 2 walk to the beach, shops and bars, but far enough away that it is quiet. Not a party hostel"
"We have visited Koh Tao many times and have stayed at Pranee Amata for the last 7 visits as we have found it to be the most convenient hotel for Sarrie beach, as its quieter than the ones that are on the beach but still close to the action, they have their own swimming pool which is lovely, the rooms are cleaned daily, the staff are helpful and friendly, a very good for value hotel."

Cleaning is only every 3-4 days or on request; this isn't a 5-star hotel! This is the ONLY truly Green Accommodation I have encountered; the owner deserves respect & gratitude for trying so hard against the wave of the non-caring. "I fell in love with the hotel. Its location was perfect, away from the city & night life noise, right on the beach, with delicious breakfast included, and most importantly only three minutes away from the Coral Grand Divers PADI office. The service was amazing. Drinks and snacks were included in the room bar, daily shuttle to and from the city. We forgot one of the backpacks in the shuttle when going to a different island, and they delivered it to us before we started boarding the ferry. I’d give them A+ and def would stay there again and recommend it to others. "

"Had a great few day stay at The Place Luxury Boutique Villas. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Guy and his wife are very informative with things to do. It is very quiet where the villas are located and to walk into 'town' is about a 10-15 min walk. The walk back is a bit more difficult as the villas are up on the hill but there are cabs which will always pick you up or take you back to the hotel. All in all a very nice stay.
