"The toilet was so high up i couldn't do a sh*t. I'm six foot tall, but when I was sat on the toilet my feet were not touching the ground. Overall, the place was pretty bleak, e.g. no mirror in the bedroom to check my outfit, only one pillow so I got neck ache in bed, no towel rail or hooks anywhere in the bathroom so couldn't hang up a towel, no hook in the bedroom to hang up a coat, no toilet roll holder. "We stayed at the Apex Grassmarket for three nights and it was a great hotel! The location can't be beat, the grassmarket has lots of places to eat, drink, shop (you are right by victoria street!) so there is always something going on. There was even a little market when we were there, loved it. It can get loud, so if you are a light sleeper that might be something to consider. It didn't bother us (we actually liked it - we heard snow patrol playing at the castle one night!) but something to note! The room was large and comfortable, lots of tea/coffee and cookies over the stay as well. We would definitely stay again!"
