"The staff was very helpful. Food was excellent! Every meal was great! Pools were ok but adult pool in need of retiling, which a sign said would be starting soon. We had a king guest room beachside which was great. It was wonderful to sit on patio with coffee in the morning and look at the ocean"
Royalton CHIC Antigua, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort – Adults Only
4/10 Poor
"The biggest disappointment was the “pool view” room, which was clearly obstructed. The view was mostly blocked by trees and structures, so it didn’t match what was advertised at all. I also specifically requested a king bed and was given a double queen instead, which was frustrating and not addressed.
Service was noticeably slow, and while I understand it may have been affected by Election Day staffing, it still impacted the overall experience. There didn’t seem to be enough staff to keep things running smoothly.
The food was okay—nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. For a resort at this price point, I expected much better quality and variety.
Entertainment was also underwhelming. The vibe just wasn’t there, especially compared to other resorts in this category.
On a positive note, the property itself is visually nice and well-maintained, but unfortunately that wasn’t enough to make up for the other issues.
Overall, I wouldn’t return based on this experience."
"The resort needs some upgrading of the property, planters looked sad, while all was clean, needs some care. Also the front desk staff should be more helpful regarding restaurants, how to get around best, and more proactive helping folks!"
"If you reserve the king-sized one-bedroom suite with a kitchen that does not offer ocean views, please be aware that the actual room may differ from the photographs. I expressed dissatisfaction with the room because it did not match the description provided in the pictures. The room depicted in the photographs was larger, and the kitchen area was modern, although it was taken at a different location that is not the actual residence of guests. This discrepancy was a significant disappointment for me and the management, who were not responsive to this matter did nothing to resolve the issue.
Additionally, be mindful of the unpleasant odor that permeates the resort upon entry. It resembles the stench of boiled, rotten eggs. The source of this odor remains uncertain, but it is possible that it originates from the ocean.
On the bright note, the food was okay."
