The only thing is that if you are of limited mobility, the parking area is several hundred yards away.

Ok hotel, good central location
Basic hotel in a good central location. Staff was friendly, rooms a bit dated but clean. Breakfast was very good. Fine for a short stay.

Clean and modern hotel
Very clean and well presented modern hotel. Located in a fairly non-descript area of the city, but only about a 10 minute walk from the main train station. Overall, we got exactly what we expected from our stay at this hotel. I’d be happy to stay again.

Perfect in every way!
I had a delightful 5-night stay at the Mercure Art Hotel. Everything about it---from the cheerful lobby and the friendly reception, to my tastefully decorated and comfortable room---was perfect. It is a mere 10 minute walk from the Hbh and central Leipzig, and the neighbourhood is safe and quiet. Only positive things to say about this hotel and its excellent staff. I will definitely return!

Recommended Leipzig Hotel
Recommended 4* Leipzig Hotel just a few minutes on foot from the Old Town (City Centre) and main station. Stayed in huge balcony room which was just a few Euros more expensive. Didn't have the breakfast so cannot comment. Only minor grouse is there was no black ((.e., English) tea in the bedroom and its wasn't available.

Modern, clean, comfortable hotel in Leipzig
We were warmly greeted by the staff and the hotel dog, Greta Garbo. We had a top floor suite with expansive views. Large desk for our laptop, large safe for the laptop. Excellent lighting. Very comfortable room. Excellent shower and bath. Convenient placement of electrical plugs on each side of the bed and around the room. Very good bed. Very good wifi.

Nice hotel for a quick stay in Leipzig
This hotel has a funky, modern design. There is cabinetry built around the bed that perfectly and expertly houses things like the room's safe, the mini-bar, closet space, and also becomes a little night table on each side of the bed complete with a power outlet on each side for convenient cell phone charging. The hotel has nice, bold colours and my room had a large drawing of Keanu Reeves, which I thought was pretty funny. The hotel has no parking. You can park on the street (which was completely packed when I got there); street parking is free after 8pm and until 9am the next day. Or you can park 2.5 blocks away at the nearby zoo's parking garage, for EUR6 per 24hours, but it didn't look like there was in/out privileges (granted, I didn't ask). The location is a little ways away from the main downtown tourist area where the Bach museum is, and could probably easily be walked, however since I was planning to carry on to Berlin after visiting the museum, I decided to drive downtown and park again there. There is a very large parking garage underneath the markt. I didn't partake in the hotel's breakfast service, however they did have a to-go offering of a cup of coffee and a muffin for EUR5, which I thought was a fantastic touch for those of us heading out early.

The Mercure is a good budget hotel in Leipzig
The Mercure is a good choice for a budget hotel walking distance to the altstadt. The rooms have a nice, updated style, but are also well designed with storage space. They also have a nicely stocked mini bar and free amenities such as a an electric kettle, with competitors such as Motel One don't have. We had a 1st floor room (2nd floor in USA terms), with a quiet, unexciting street scene without much traffic, which was good for us. The parking out front was ample and seemed cheap enough, so that alone was great. We would definitely stay here again. There is also a nice, cozy bar downstairs but we didn't use it. The lobby area is fairly spacious and seems comfortable.

The black and dark walls in the room give a gloomy impression. Elecricity in the room is planned really strange: No electric socket near the table. How can one activate a laptop for more than 2 hours. The kettle's cable couldn't reach the electricity cocket so we had to put it on the flour near the bad. The supply of coffee, tea and suger was for one night only. They explained that they serve only 2 coffee bags as a present. Rediculous! The room wasn't clean enough and the maintenece is bad. For example, the soap dispencer was falling on the shower flour and they didn't bother to fix it. Only positive thing is that the location was convenient. Very close to main attreactions in this area and surrunded by transportation options.

The rooms lived up to hotel's name!
This hotel was comfortable. We appreciated the artistic components (the apple on the bed was a nice touch). The breakfast was good. The staff were accommodating. I would recommend this hotel!

Great place
Great place a very short tram ride to the city center. The parking in the basement was tight, but okay for a small car. The staff was very pleasant and the hotel quiet.

Mercure Hotel Art Leipzig Review
I enjoyed my stay at the Mercure Art Leipzig hotel. My room was very, clean, enough room, and quiet at night. The staff at the hotel was very, very friendly and very, very helpful!! The breakfast served at the hotel was very good. The price of my room at the hotel for 4 nights was very reasonable. And the hotel is located close to the train station and city tram stops. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely Leipzig
Leipzig is an unexpected jewel of a city. Thankfully this hotel is within 10 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof (main railway station). My time in the city - most of which just lay on the other side of the road from the Hauptbahnhof - was therefore used to the maximum. The public tram system is marvellous. There was an excellent tourist information office in the city centre.

Good Price in Decent Location
The hotel was clean and easy to reach from the local train station. There didn't seem to be much happening in the neighborhood but the main city center was a quick 15 to 20 minute walk. The hotel was very quiet, not a lot of staffing present but those that were there were attentive. The room was spacious and clean and we had no complaints.

Best possible choice
Of the 5 hotels I stayed at on this was definitely the best. It was bright and cheery and I loved the bathroom with the very roomy shower. I was about a 10 min. walk from the train station which wasn't great on a warm day, dragging a suitcase, but otherwise it was perfect! I'd definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

We liked the hotel although there was only enough bedding and linens for one person. We had to request additional blankets which they responded to quickly. If staying in room on the main street it is quite loud with constant traffic. Also, the neighborhood which is close and behind the central train station didn't have much but was close to the downtown historic center. All in all in was a good stay.

The center of Leipzig
The people are amazing. The hotel near the main station for train or tram . The nearest tram is 1 minute walk. Close to one of the best shawerma shops and near a supermarket

Personal war zu jeder Zeit sehr freundlich. Zimmer war sauber und ausgestattet mit Wasserkocher, Kühlschrank, Safe, TV, Kaffee und Tee. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. City und Zoo gut fußläufig zu erreichen.

Sehr gut gelegenes Stadthotel. Fußläufig zu Bahnhof und City und zum Zoo bzw Kongresszentrum am Zoo. Parkplätze finden sich im Parkhaus am Zoo.
