I became ill with altitude sickness and had to check out early, but there was no one in the office. A nice young man who spoke no English was doing yard work, and I asked him to direct me to the owners, but he did not understand. I could not find anyone, anywhere at 11 a.m. check out time. I don't recommend this motel.

Nice place with great location to watch the sunrise! Busy street close by so if your a light sleeper maybe this is not for you. Amazing towels :) recommended!
So dark when I arrived that I could hardly find my room. Steep stairs to the room. Would NOT recommend for seniors. No desk in the room. Will NEVER rebook here.
Very rustic. Was disappointed the restaurant had closed for the season. Around the hot/ cold water in the sink was crusty with corroded minerals. Floor near tub was in need of repair. Like I already noted, it’s very rustic. However, it was clean, bed comfortable and it’s pet friendly, for an additional fee.
We are happy with the stay in general. Near Mono Lake is the reason we chose this place although it is quite noisy from early morning as it is right next to 395HW. Room is clean, but with no dryer which is a minus.
The Tioga Lodge is a beautiful property and has stunning views of Mono Lake. It is right off the 395 so it can be noisy with car traffic. Our windows wouldn’t close all the way so it was noisier than I’d like. Plus, broken sprinklers going off at 11/12 at night was obnoxious. Our bed was sort of uncomfortable, but not awful. We could also perfectly hear our neighbors while in the bathroom, which isn’t ideal.
I like the location. It is easier to go Virginia Lake and Silver Lake. My room has a window that faces Mono Lake. I can see sunrise from my window. The garden is beautiful. They don’t have a restaurant on site, but Lee Vining is near by.

Nice quirky room. Cozy room with nice bath tub, no shower. Beautiful view of Mono Lake from front porch.
We booked a room at Tioga Lodge at Mono Lake in Lee Vining. Then we were forced to postpone our vacation for 2 days due to a change in work schedule, so we requested that our reservations be changed by 2 days. They had several vacancies at that time, so there shouldn't have been any problem. This was 19 days before the original reservation date. Instead of changing the reservation date, the owner forced us to forfeit the full cost of the room. In our opinion, this is exceptional poor treatment and reveals the attitude of the owner towards his customers. We had no problem whatsoever changing our other reservations.

The bed was a double bed and the mattress needed to be replaced. No shower just bathtub, no TV, No radio, no WiFi, and no place to sit or eat and the only closet was a cupboard with out hangers or hooks. The total furniture was I’ll suited even for a lodge.
There was no wifi access, except in the lobby of the hotel. The innkeeper gave a weak excuse that cloudy weather or rain interrupted wifi service- well then fix it! We traveled 8 hours through Utah and Nevada and expected to have access to the internet at our hotel room.
Room is very cute with lots of towels and toiletries and bed is comfortable. Although right across from lake, there is a highway in between the cabins and lake. The road noise right next to window makes it impossible to sleep. Surprised for the high price that there is no TV or internet. Also wimpy window blinds lets too much light in.
Great place to stay, check in was easy, got a cabin on the shore of Mono lake. Watched sunrise the following morning and noticed the hotel had a waterfall on the property with a walking bridge going over. Great place to stay
Such a cute , quaint property ! Little cottages rather than the usual hotel. The view of the lake was amazing. There was some road noise but nothing too bad. Very clean rooms. Staff was amazing !
Only complaint was the bed frame didn’t seem very solid under the mattress
The lake is nice, but there is a highway right in front of the property. As a result, you here cars and trucks going by throughout the night. I also saw two bugs that resembled cockroaches, and there was no shower - just a bathtub. Not impressed.

My little attic room was charming and I enjoyed the view. However, the stairs to the room were very steep and I think prospective travelers should be warned. I am a backpacker so I could handle it but not everyone could. Also the Wi-Fi was barely available. However, I enjoyed my stay.
