There is literally no road to this hotel. The staff was kind but there's nothing to do in the area. The bay close by is super dirty and smelly. There's trash collecting area nearby, very smelly and ugly. The room had open windows so we ended up with a lot of funny bites, lasted a week to pass. Would never go back!

Very good dining experience whether breakfast or evening dinner. Rooms somewhat tired. Room shower not working properly and was not sorted when mentioned (used 2nd shower instead which are available with private pool rooms). Overall dining experience made up for it. Road to hotel is a 4x4 experience!

Room with a pool was wonderful but this property is very isolated - road access was terrible and frankly the restaurant was more interested in the presentation of their food than in providing a quality eating experience.

Petit hôtel avec une très bonne cuisine. Les chambres sont très agréables mais manque un peu d’entretien (peintures, bois, balustrade). L’accès est un peu compliqué. Nous avons cependant passé un agréable séjour

Fantastic trip
The room was great; the food for breakfast was fantastic; the staff was fantastic; the drive to the hotel was up some crazy winding roads and isolated, which makes for a quiet evening, but tough to go 'back into town' for dinner.

The staff was great and patient with our nonexistent french. The included breakfast was amazing. The room and property were beautiful as shown (Lavazza espresso maker in room!). The road to the hotel is rough for sure. My only small complaint was that in our "comfort room" the shower got the whole bathroom soaked. All in all a great place but a bit of a drive to the island beaches.

Very comfortable and calming hotel with very good food and lovely staff.. The only disappointment is the bathroom / shower very, very small. the entire bathroom gets wet when showering!!

Hidden Treasure
Secluded, remote and very picturesque--we were very happy with our hotel selection. Staff was courteous and friendly, and the room was spacious, clean and had a beautiful view. The hotel is quite remote and the roads are not easy to navigate...but worth the journey. The restaurant was lovely, with a beautiful ambiance, and the food was good, although on the pricey side and service was slow. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Really nice hotel but a nightmare drive
The hotel is very well maintained and the staff are really helpful and friendly, but the location is dreadful. It has wonderful views and nice grounds but you have to drive a number of miles uphill on completely unpaved, rocky, muddy roads with enormous potholes and a real risk of grounding your rental car. I wouldn't do this again without a 4x4 and I certainly wouldn't attempt the drive in the dark. If you come in from the Francois direction you will find yourself trying to cross culverts that will certainly ground your car. From the Robert side it is a little easier, but still not recommended. If it were just the hotel, I would recommend it without hesitation, but I would never return to this hotel until they do something about the access roads.

Although the hotel was a little hard to find on our first trip there, it was well worth going to. The hotel is peaceful, well maintained, comfortable, and clean. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and their restaurant was gourmet. Our stay there was revitalizing.

A little gem
A beautiful location with the views of the bay slightly obscured by trees that have been allowed to grow too high. The approach road is of poor quality particularly the very last 200 yards leading to the hotel. Nevertheless a lovely place for a quiet holiday

Uniquely beautiful hotel in a ridiculous location.
The restaurant and common areas of the Plein Soleil are tasteful and beautiful, filled with unique artwork, curios, and furniture. There are terraces, dining rooms, and decks suited to any weather or personal preference. The breakfast was great (I loved the two kinds of eggs offered), but the dinner was disappointing for the price, 45 Euros. There were no knowledgeable staff people at the desk to answer questions or offer suggestions about our visit. Our room was very large, but lacked proper furniture and lighting.

A relaxing stay off the beaten path
After a long, bumpy drive to get to the hotel we realized it was well worth it! The hotel is in a very relaxing and calming location. Our room was spotless and beyond comfortable. The on site restaurant was closed on our arrival date. However, they delivered a delicious meal to our room with a bottle of wine. The food is superb. So gald we stayed here for 2 nights!

Nice boutique hotel up on the hill
The hotel looks better than the photos. We had a great short stay, amazing dinner at the hotel restaurant, everything was clean and cozy. The only thing we didn't like was that the road to get to the hotel is rocky, winding and somewhat hard to find.

Did Not Know It's For Families! Good Surprise!
When our 9 year old daughter asked if there were any other kids staying at the hotel, the answer was no. She was clearly disappointed, and told me that I should have better looked into it. But, we had a unexpected surprise. Our daughter is keen with everything animals, so when she saw two geckos, she immedietley named them Maria and Martin. Later on, their baby, Mckenzie. In the morning, she also met a friendly cat who she named Macy, who liked getting her ham. We, as parents, were sure we had made the wrong decision at first. But, as the days went by, our daughter became enchanted with everything. This hotel is keen for families! Try it out! You may be surprised.

Pas digne d'un 4 étoiles
Hotel que je ne recommande malheureusement pas du tout, plusieurs points : - Le service : nous sommes arrivés vers 20 heures et nous avons été accueillis avec beaucoup de dédain. Plusieurs remarques ont été faites en nous faisant bien comprendre que nous avions pris "que la chambre Guest room" - pas digne d'un hôtel 4 étoiles... Sans mentionner qu'on nous refuse une place de parking côté chambre pour des raisons de "sécurité", 10 minutes plus tard cette place est attribuée à quelqu'un d'autre pendant au moins 2 jours :) - La chambre : aucune vue sur la baie mais sur un arbre, une fenêtre sans vitre qui donne sur le parking, la clim n'avait pas été mise avant notre arrivée et les plombs ont sautés 10mn après l'avoir allumée. Aucune photo de la salle de bain, et ce n'est pas pour rien... Poubelle en plastique, douche minuscule collée aux toilettes. Nous avons donc voulu partir et on nous a dit que cela été possible vu que nous n'avions pas reglé - hors j'avais déjà été débité. Bref, si vous prenez une chambre avec une piscine peut être que cet hôtel en voudra la peine et le service sera de meilleure qualité, sinon il n'est malheureusement pas un 4 étoiles - à noter tout de même qu'il est excentré.
