"We really enjoyed staying here. A staging post on a longer journey from the UK to central France, the owner very kindly welcomed us despite the very unsociable hour,.thanks to a Le Shuttle delay. A warm welcome, and an excellent sense of humour, made for a comfortable stay. The coffee was delicious, as was the fresh bread over breakfast. Thank you!"

"Very quirky property, traditional French style in middle of St Valery with everything this beautiful town has to offer on the doorstep. Public parking available on the road just up from hotel. We stayed in Lawrence of Arabia suite which was interesting. Room to spread out in living area. Breakfasts are fantastic, with lovely fresh produce. Lovely host. "

"Chance au Roy is situated in the countryside outside Aigneville. The accommodation is part of an estate, the owners living in a chateau the accommodation is in the grounds. It’s a beautiful setting but in need of some restoration. When we arrived we had a lovely welcome from Elizabeth the owner, she hadn’t been expecting us, despite booking ,but showed us a room that was available.
