"There was a mouse in my room. When I told the man at the front desk, he indicated that he would provide a refund but when he realized it was through Expedia, he said he did not know how to do that. I was advised I would be contacted. I was never contacted and no refund was issued. Expedia advised me that The Commons refused a refund and that I had been offered an alternative. I had not been offered an alternative, in fact, as I mentioned, I had been offered a refund. "

"Bar ok staff wonderful, parking area and outside very unkept when mentioned to staff they told us they were not getting staffed in this area. Gym full of stuff from other areas so unable to use. "

"Breakfast was fresh Staff were friendly, Stinky halls. We Left baskets of clothing behind and staff denied seeing it.. liars and thieves. Pet friendly yet staff scared of cats. A big deal was made every time they had to clean our suits. "

"Back in my college days this unit would have been considered top of the line. The location is excellent, situated a few minutes from the touristy harbour area right next to the Lieutenant Governor's residence. The unit is fully equiped and parking a short walk away. Unfortunately we could not get the hockey game on their tv but were readily granted a late check out. Considering the price it was a deal."

"Overall, our stay was very good, though there were a couple of issues that affected our experience. The room itself was lovely, the complimentary buffet breakfast was excellent, and the staff were kind, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. One disappointment was the swimming pool, which was extremely cold — uncomfortably so. My daughter and I both attempted to use it, but we were unable to stay in for more than a few minutes because of the temperature. The biggest issue during our stay...

"Great location, walking distance from everything. Room was not cleaned properly, found used dirty socks and women’s lingerie in the bathroom which was not removed. Most likely from the previous guest. "

"My day was excellent. Easy check-in nice room great location. It was very clean. My supper was delicious that I had. I would recommend it to anybody that wants to stay close to everything downtown. Comparing it to other hotels in the area for price point was excellent also considering that other places were about two or $300 more than what I paid for my two nights stay."

"Property, itself, was fabulous with a full kitchen, separate office, excellent shower, etc. The location, alone, is worth a few bucks. Nothing can resolve the fact that Argyle Street-facing rooms are above a bar patio playing extremely loud, crappy, club music 'til after midnight. Stay here in mid-Winter or get a room facing Barrington Street."
