This apartment is within walking distance to the city centre. Plenty of food choices and supermarkets near by. Good place to explore the famous Cataract Gorge. Apartment is fully furnished with a well equipped kitchen and spacious living area. Decor is very much colonial in style; feels like living in an old English mansion. Highly recommended for short stay with family.

Excellent location. Very clean, cosy and warm. Excellent communiation with Manager. When next staying over in Launceston would not hesitate to stay here. Street noise did not bother us.

Lovely apartment

Great apartment in a great location, walking distance to shops. Kitchen was great and included everything you need, just had to buy food which saved us a fortune. We had an apartment on the top floor, there are a lot of pretty steep steps and the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms were only suitable for kids as you have to duck to get up the steps to the top floor. Great heating too. Would definitely stay again but try for ground floor next time

……… the heater was on for our arrival!! Even though we had booked the ground floor unit, you still needed to go up and down stairs to access the front door on the ground floor!

Run down, in need of modernisation

The unit we had was run down, carpets are filthy, cabinets are old and smelly. Furnitures look like they have been picked up from junkyard sale. There is insufficient power sockets and the whole place is in need of some serious modernisation. The sign outside actually says “Luxury apartments” and the photos on website is nowhere near what we got in reality! Launceston is a great place to visit but avoid staying at this property!

The Apartments at York Mansions are located within walking distance of everything. We stayed in the Duke apartment, which has 3 bedrooms over 2 levels. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. We had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay.

I really enjoyed the location of the property and also that it has an old classic look to it. The property manager sent me an email prior to my checking in date with instructions on how to gain access to the property and information on where to visit around Launceston which was greatly appreciated.

自力ですべてをこなせる人向けの宿

良くも悪くも文字どおりのアパートです。部屋数が多く，そんじょそこらのホテルよりもずっと広いのは最高です。キッチンもありますし，食器も整っています。居間の雰囲気も素敵でした。ただし，ホテル側からのサービスは一切期待することはできません。私が泊まった部屋は洗濯機の動作がおかしく，マニュアルも置かれていなかったため，洗濯を終えるのにメチャクチャ苦労しました。連絡先として書かれている番号に電話しても，「問題があるなら下の階の洗濯機を使って」というのみであり（しかしどうやって下の階に行けば良いのか良く分からず），結局は自力であれこれ試しているうちに何とかなりましたが，貴重な時間をかなり費やしてしまったのは悔しい思い出です。それと，非常に歴史のある（＝古い）建物であるためエレベーターがないことには要注意です。私の部屋は３階でしたが狭い階段を通ってスーツケースを引っ張り上げるのは大変でした。 とはいえ，洗濯機の件がなければ，アパートとしては満点をつけても良い雰囲気であったことは事実です。

We found the accommodation excellent - more spacious than expected and the well resourced kitchen made preparing meals a breeze. Great location and the welcome email provided relevant information about the apartment, the local area and more. We will definitely consider returning here.
