Everything was great, we would definitely stay here again if we go back to Iceland. Restaurant on site was good and being able to walk over to the waterfall was great.
100/10; incredible, pleasant and attentive staff. We felt at home here. Beautiful location and view overlooking Godafoss. Even more superb was the restaurant food and drinks. Easy parking and walkable.
By far the best staff all of Iceland, they were kind as well warm welcoming and were really friendly with my stay. Overall the food was wonderful and would definitely come back if given the opportunity. The 2 gentleman that help with check in and check out service made my stay fell like I was home. Definitely recommend checking this place out.
We stayed in the upstairs room which was spacious and supremely comfortable. It had an amazing view of the waterfall from the windows. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both excellent. All staff were incredibly friendly. Highly recommend this special place.
Welcoming staff and very tasty dinner/hot meals that we made it just before kitchen was closed at 8:30pm, lucky too to add the only room left on the flight, paid breakfast was nice. Could not be a better location to the waterfall and we even managed to run 3+ miles late at night in the small road and the parking lot
The location was perfect, right across the street from the falls. In the morning, before the busses and crowds arrive, you can have the waterfall to yourself. I find Godafoss to be one of the most beautiful falls in Iceland. The hotel breakfast, while not included, was very good. A large selection with a beautiful view.
Excellent location right next to Godafoss. Clean and quiet room. Very friendly staff. Dinner was good. Breakfast was good, but we felt it was small and not worth what they charge for it.
Our stay was the absolute best on our many one night stays along the ring road trip, our dinner at Agave was excellent , the chef helped us made our selection!! And we had a falls view right from our table! The Staff was amazing very thoughtful! Our room for 3 was very spacious , cozy and comfortable! We even had a view of the falls!!
The added breakfast was expensive for what it was. Very small, but everything tasted fresh and good. Hotel room was cute and had amazing view of Godafoss!
Very attentive staff. Host at the reception was very welcoming and even showed us to our room! She talked a little about the waterfalls and the best times to see it without many tourists around. The property itself is wonderful with the backdrop of Godafoss. Bathroom was a little small but met our needs. Room was overall clean and cozy.
Stayed here for just 1 night on our recent trip to Iceland, but next time we'll plan to spend at least a few nights here. The property itself is utterly charming, with a really great little onsite restaurant that serves a nice dinner menu and a solid breakfast buffet. Our room (booked on short notice) was small but very nice and cozy, with a fantastic shower and products. If we go back, we'll look at booking one of the larger rooms, as there are multiple options & layouts available among their 20 rooms. But the real selling point here is the location and setting. Nestled just across the street from the stunning Goldfoss waterfall, the view is breathtaking - even for Iceland, which is chock-full of breathtaking scenery. And it's perfectly located in the centre of the 'Diamond Circle', which you'd want a good 3-4 days to explore properly.
We had booked the suite with the fabulous views to Godafoss waterfall, and the gorgeous pink bath tub as a special treat for our trip. The suite is fabulous, the staff lovely, breakfast and dinner onsite was really good. The view is exceptional.
The negative for us was the constant doof doof through the floor, of the music playing in the restaurant below. The restaurant had a lovely ambience when we dined about 7pm, but at 9pm it started to go off, with a large group or party, I'm not sure, and the music beat, along with the raucous laughter and talk until 10.30pm ruined the enjoyment of our stay. While it may not seem late we had had a long day and and early start planned the following day. The music started again from 8am, we were just thankful that it wasn't earlier.
Bathroom was small and cramped. No way to contain shower water from spreading. Bathroom vanity sink was super small.
But location was terrific - right opposite the waterfall,
Our room was in a separate building which made getting to breakfast and dinner a wet, chilly affair. The room itself was cramped and not meant to spend time in except to sleep. The bathroom was very small and gave off an unpleasant smell.
On the plus side: the dinner was very good, as was the breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful and the proximity to the falls made up for most of the shortcomings,
