"Wonderful place to stay very friendly"

"We were only told that neither the bar nor the restaurant would be open when we asked what times they would be available at check-in. This is especially annoying when we specifically filter your listings for these as having to travel again to eat is not welcome after already having spent a day travelling and walking into the village along a main N-road at night is dangerous. The "superior" room isn't very big and the wi-fi is terrible in it. The shower light doesn't work and the nozzle is broken so sprays a single stream to the side, which we only discovered after the owner had left after checking us in. I would not recommend this place. "Lovely roadside hotel which doesn't look much from outside but is lovely once inside with a pretty courtyard, historic look, great restaurant and friendly bar. We were again allowed to park our motorcycle securely in the courtyard which is most welcome for travellers. We had a bit of a worry on arrival as there seemed to be no record of our booking which we'd made the night before through the Hotels app but a room was quickly cleaned and prepared for us."
