Really nice hotel, with a vintage charm. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. As other reviewers have said, I could hear conversations in the adjoining room. Location was great for the beach and restaurants.

The Ancla is a throwback in time. Some may call it dated, as it seems like the 1970's, but the place is in good condition and perfectly clean. The hotel is practically a maritime museum. Ships wheels, compass, and other ship parts scattered about for display, wonderful oil paintings of ship scenes, it is fantastic. It will not me my last stay here, for sure. The low- No air-conditioning. This would not be a great choice in hot weather. The high- The atmosphere is unique and interesting and the people there are fantastic, I felt like one of the family. Maria seems to be everywhere at once and so willing to make your stay as wonderful as possible. Always with a beautiful smile!

Wonderful Stay!
This hotel is located about 1 block from the beach. I received a warm welcome and easy check in. There is a beautiful courtyard which seemed to attract many songbirds. I had a very pleasant stay and a nice breakfast in the morning.

Nice stay at Ancla
Very good experience, some of our party arrived very early but where allowed to access the room. Room was good. Hotel was pretty empty as time of year but no problems.

Not as promised.
Rooms outdated and need sprucing up. Carpet in room needs a good cleaning or, better, replacement. The place is very 1970’s. Location is good and the garden most pleasant.

The hotel manager was very accommodating in allowing me to park my motorcycle safely right next to the main entrance of the hotel. On the downside the hotel is somewhat run down and in urgent need of refurbishment, it was like a time warp going back to the 1970's!

Lovely big grounds with tables, chairs and lounges to enjoy either an afternoon drink from the bar, or breakfast in the morning. Very attentive and helpful staff. Amazing big breakfast included and enjoyed in the garden.

Tiene un hermoso jardín donde sirven el desayuno y atienden, durante todo el día, desde la cafetería del propio alojamiento. Está muy bien situado, muy cerca de la playa de La Salvé y del centro urbano de Laredo. Se aparca con facilidad, gratis, en la misma calle o en las del entorno

No hay palabras. Maravilloso
Estuvimos en familia, dos adultos y un adolescente. Y a los tres nos maravillado el hotel. Es un encanto con tematica maritima. Todo esta decorado al minimo detalle. Muy acogedor. Dispine de habitaciones y tamvien de separados apartamentos. El patio exterior con su jardín, zonas chill-out y decoraciones enamora de primera vista. Y no te apetece marcharse de este sitio romantico, mágico y relajante a son de música muy bonita. Nuestra habitación no disponía de aire acondicionado, pero solamente con la ventana abierta ya se refrescaba el ambiente. Importante para mujeres: Baño no tiene secador de pelo. Resto está genial con todas las comodidades. Recomiendo sin ningúna duda. Personal maravillosamente muy atento y amable. con toda la seguridad volveremos a este hotel.

Con ánimo de que la empresa recoja de forma constructiva mi opinión mi estancia en El Ancla no ha sido satisfactoria. Nos hemos encontrado con los pelos del anterior cliente en el suelo del baño y migas en el sobre de la TV. Al día siguiente nos hicieron la habitación mientras desayunábamos y tuvimos que pisar todo mojado; aguantando un comentario desafortunado del empleado. Los pelos seguían en la puerta de la habitación por lo que pensamos que no pasan el aspirador y el mocho pasa de una habitación a otra. Los colchones están destrozados y me caí al suelo de madrugada porque el somier se tumba. Las paredes empapeladas todas despegadas foco de polvo y bichos entre las juntas. Desayuno repetitivo a base de dosis de mermeladas y mantequilla. Nos encontramos una caca grande debajo de nuestra mesa del jardín. Somos conscientes de que el gremio de la hostelería lo está pasando muy mal; pero después de un cierre tan prolongado un hotel necesita un buen fondeo y mantenimiento para cumplir las medidas óptimas de saneamiento.

Hotel muy justito.
La habitación no disponía de nevera, si das al jardín puede que te moleste la clientela que esta charlando y tomando algo. Muy buena la ubicación.

Yo creo que le sobra "media estrella" ; accesibilidad deficitaria, en su momento sería un innovador hotel pero con el paso del tiempo se ha quedado un poco anticuado. Magnífico jardín para desayunar en el y para tomar algo por la noche. Personal amable.

Que desde su página web Hotels.com, permitan la reserva, envíen una confirmación de reserva y al llegar al hotel a las 23:00 esté cerrado por el Covid me parece una broma de mal gusto. Es cierto que enviaron un mensaje (una hora después de la confirmación) diciendo que se cancelaba la reserva, pero ya estaba conduciendo... creo que una llamada habría sido lo mínimo, o por lo menos que su página no permita reservar hoteles cerrados.... En resumen, fatal

Agradable y muy bien ubicado.
El hotel tiene una buena relación calidad precio y acorde con su categoría. La situación es estupenda para acceder a la playa y al centro de Laredo. Lo único que me ha parecido menos acorde es el tamaño de la habitación y del cuarto de baño, ambos demasiado pequeños.

Une jolie station balnéaire avec la plage à 150 m de l'hôtel. Environnement calme et accueillant. Le personnel est vraiment très sympathique.

J'ai apprécié le jardin de l'hôtel dans lequel le petit déjeuner était servi. L'hôtel en lui même est très bien tenu. La décoration maritime originale. Le personnel agréable. A l'arrivée la chambre pour trois proposée ne correspondait pas à celle vue sur le site Expedia. C'est une erreur du site d'après l'hôtel, qui à notre demande, nous a finalement trouvé une chambre pour trois de taille correcte. Par contre, concernant Expedia ce n'est pas la peine de montrer une photo de chambre avec mezzanine pour trois car en fait cette chambre est pour cinq ou six et donc plus chère, c'est donc limite mensonger car j'ai réservé en voyant cette photo. La propreté est excellente dans cet hôtel. Pour le petit déjeuner, ce serait mieux de clarifier ce que l'on souhaite ou pas pour éviter le gaspillage et mieux correspondre aux vœux des clients. L'hôtel est très bien situé à la fois proche de la plage et du centre à pied. Nous conseillons cet hôtel sans soucis.

Me gusto el jardin y el trato recibido. El hotel es viejo, el baño necesita mejoras como la bañera, ppr ejmplo. La habitacion bien, mejorable el colchon. pasamos calor, sin aire acondicionado.

Un hotel très facile à trouver, une très charmante et mignonne hotesse d'accueil, le reste du personnel très professionel, un emplacement parfait près de la plage et du centre ville, seul petit bémol : la dureté des matelas ! Tout pour passer un excellent séjour à Laredo !
