We had a one night stay at this hotel before our flight home
We chose it because of its location to to the airport
It is a very large hotel, but very disjointed in its layout, it didn’t flow, there was no hustle and bustle of a typical hotel, or common area for guests. The lobby was dominated by a large model of the island with no explanation as to why or what it was achieving. There was also a seating area with a bar, but nobody serving.
We were kept waiting on arrival at reception, as they couldn’t find our booking, which was inconvenient, as we had been travelling all day
The hotel boasted an infinity pool, but this was reached by crossing what looked like a car park. It was not connected to the main building, or had any facilities to encourage guests to use it. The water was a murky green colour.
The hotel also had private beach, but again, there were no sun beds, umbrellas or even an outdoor bar area to make you want to spend time there, a shame, as the hotel has so much potential.
The hotel room was spacious, but dated. The towels were old and ingrained with dirt
The hotel was not located near to any nearby shops or restaurants, so we took a taxi to Cenang beach for a wander.
