"This was my first time staying at a holiday inn ever, so I wasn't expecting anything more than a clean room, which I got. But I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and enjoyable the staff was. Also, they had a pretty good spread of breakfast options. I would stay here again on my next trip down to Columbia. "

"We came for our son’s graduation from Basic Training at Fort Jackson. The hotel was an average rating. It was close, mostly clean, and we did have a breakfast. So it served its purpose. However, the main light for the room was broken and we were told they really couldn’t fix it because it was a circuit issue. There were exposed wires where the sconce light by the bed was. They didn’t want to fix that because they said it gets broken all the time. When we were getting ready at 5:30 am the day of graduation the lights in the bathroom section went out. So we finished getting ready in the dark but when we came back they had fixed the breaker! We left “Maid Service” on our door- but no vacuuming or cleaning was done, just new towels and made bed. "
