The staff at the Mara were absolutely amazing. From the property manager Ruben and front desk reps Alfred, Eric, Adaili and the pup George. The floor staff were very helpful and nice. We had a very relaxing stay and enjoyed the personable conversations we had with everyone.

My pet Vito was welcomed and that’s so important to us since we travel with him all the time. The staff was friendly. Rooms were roomie and clean. The pool and spa were well maintained. Clean towels were always available to us. We enjoyed the balcony and breeze that came in through back door. Agate beach was literally just across the street. So many wonderful restaurants and shops. We can’t wait to come back again!

We had an amazing stay and would absolutely come back! The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our entire visit. They consistently checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed, which made us feel very welcomed and well taken care of. The heated pool was a huge plus—it was always clean and enjoyable. We also loved spending time on the terrace, especially in the mornings and during sunset when the views were beautiful and relaxing. The location was very convenient and made it easy to get around and enjoy the area. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations thanks to the excellent service, cleanliness, and great amenities. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our positives are: The front desk staff was very helpful and the manager went above and beyond with our biggest concerns. The views of the ocean were gorgeous. Rooms are clean and stocked with a sound machine and earplugs to help muffle any street noise. Our negatives are: We had a 3 night stay and on day 2 morning we were interrupted 3 times with our door opened without our consent by maintenance and some inspector. We notified the front desk and the manager offered to move us from a standard room to a room with a view. On our final morning I had someone knock asking if there was trash in the room i could give him. This could have been handled after we checked out. The communication between staff and vendors could have been better. The hotel is recently remodeled but there are many little details not met. Toilet paper holder fell off wall. Handle on barn door not secure and screws coming off and not hung well. Door did not slide for bathroom privacy. For the location of the beach and cost of stay they did not offer daily room clean service unless you requested it.

This was our second time staying at Mara. We arrived late just before the front desk was ready to leave. We had a 2 queen room and it was clean and nice with a large bathroom. We checked out early and all was good! We would stay here again or recommend our visitors stay here!

I thought the location and the property itself were great. They provided beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella. What I did not like is the internet was either terrible or did not work, the door code did not work to get in through the garage, the light in the bathroom area did not work, the AC sounded like a tractor and often sounded like it was struggling to get going, you could hear every sound and footstep in the room or walkway above us.

Had a plumbing issue and the sink stopped up so we needed to move to a different room, but it was very convenient on the same floor just down the hall. It’s a beautiful rooftop looking out over the ocean. Staff was very helpful.
