Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities
Good - we arrived early and they allowed us to checkin early.
Bad - early checkin resulted in a downgraded room, no problem but they said they couldn't lower price because we'd reserved with Expedia - even though we hadn't paid yet.
Bad - TV in room didn't work until maintenance came to fix it.
Bad - burnt out light bulb in room.
Bad - extremely low wattage light bulbs in room. Had to use flashlight on cell phone to read stove/coffee maker instructions.
Bad - Central AC unit was immediately adjacent to bed. Every time it turned on it sounded like a truck driving through the room.
Bad - VERY noisy, both doors slamming and people upstairs.
Bad - coffee maker didn't work. Couldn't read instructions to make sure I was using it correctly until I used my cell phone flashlight (see above).
When the building says "Hilton" on the sign I expect more. I won't ever be back to a Homewood suites and doubt I'll ever return to a Hilton owned property. We stay in hotels all across the country regularly from 1 star to 5 star. What does it say that any motel 6 in the country would far exceed this hotel. I explained to the front desk clerk that we were leaving to go get breakfast because, after our experience, we simply didn't trust that we could eat without getting sick. Do yourself a favor. Stay so where else.
