Windy Acres was perfect for our overnight stay before taking the early Rosslare ferry. Took us only 11 minutes to get to the terminal. Gwen was an excellent host and had breakfast sorted for us in the kitchen despite our very early start. A peaceful and attractive area and good view over the back garden to the sea. The house is immaculate and our room was very comfortable. Shared bathroom was not a problem.

Fantastic and Friendly
I found Windy Acre after a last minute search to stay in the Wexford area for a few days, I knew I wanted somewhere scenic and a bit off the beaten path though close enough to get around. The home is very easy to find as it’s pinned on goggle maps and have a large sign outside the gates. The location was exactly what I needed and was pleasantly surprised to see our room was ready as soon as we arrived even though our hosts were running a bit behind schedule. We got given a key, a quick tour of the home and were free to use most their living spaces if we so wished. We had some lovely weather so made plenty use of the garden and could use the kitchen into the wee hours as it got later. There’s plenty of pubs, restaurants and newsagents around as well as beaches which are great for long strolls (I highly recommend the local chipper called The Lighthouse). The hosts themselves are really friendly and lovely to chat to, though you’ll be left to your own devices too if your not really a social type, they have two really loveable dogs who are playful but well trained too. The room we were in was immaculate and WiFi was constantly strong the entire stay. 10/10 and would absolutely stay again.

Brian, thanks so much for your comments. You are so welcome back anytime and we can then debate things like "The socioeconomic repercussions of extensive pitchforking by serfs on the Russian plains, during the lattrt 20th century" or sumptin.... Des
