"My friend and I stayed here for a concert on a Friday night. It was a very comfortable and easy stay! I have no complaints and was impressed with how nice it is. I will say it’s worth paying the $50 a day Valet parking. Street parking is minimal and didn’t feel that safe. We Ubered to Oakland Arena and Ubered back with no issues. "The property was okay, rooms were decently updated. The restaurant attached was a little overpriced for what we received. Staff at front desk were a little cold to approach however, the rest of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I was not expecting it to be right off the freeway. And the bar closes pretty early. "

"This little gem has become my home away from home in Oakland. It has everything you could want in a city that already has everything—great food, cool bars, amazing music, plenty to do, etc. It's all brand new in a renovated space. The rooms are large and comfortable, the bathrooms are sparkling, and the service is impeccable. There's a rooftop courtyard, a game room, and good eats and drinks right next door. It's more comfortable than anywhere else in the Bay Area, and just as accessible. Well...

Online the place looked very promising and though the lobby looked out dated I had held out hopes for the rest of the amenities. Getting in the elevator you are immediately greeted with the smell of marijuana and once you're dropped off on your floor you're met with hallway bathrooms, beat up walls and doors, and once again the incredibly overpowering smell of smoke. "Beautiful Hotel, but I was put in the older wing. Had to go down, then walk the take another elevator to my room which was fine, but the main light took 30 sec to turn on when entering. For an expensive hotel, that was not fun stumbling around trying find another switch to work"
