"The building is impressive with its great lobby (of perhaps faded art deco glamour) of another era. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not modern and fancy, but clean and functional. Room was very comfortable. Kiel is spread out and the hotel is a bit far to walk with luggage, as I discovered, but a straight shot to train station and downtown. The terrace in front of lobby was a nice place to sit to enjoy the breezes and chill (it's Kiel!), at least until smokers claim it as their own. The breakfast area is very nice and the breakfast excellent: I highly recommend the breakfast, on its merits, but especially since there are few restaurants nearby."

"Gorgeous, spacious accommodation, friendly staff, in a lovely peaceful village! We had no problems finding the place, and easily parked our car outside. It was spotlessly clean, and we found the beds and pillows very comfortable. We were sorry to be staying for just one night! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this lovely part of Germany."
