"Ok, this is the place if you like quiet and self-contained over big action and walkable. The black sand beach is awesome. Freshwater shower straight into the infinity pool (perfect temperature): awesome. The on-site restaurant is excellent with unbelievably good prices. The staff is better that you can imagine. The manager, Alex, speaks perfect English and does everything he can to make your stay great. The rest of the staff: pretty much just Spanish. Our room had incredible air conditioning (which all gringos will need in Playa San Blas) and the room also has a refrigerator, balcony, and comfy (albeit firm) bed. The only drawback: you'll be taking advantage of those cheap $3.00-$4.00 Ubers to get to stores, restaurants, and El Sunyal. This property is great but not at all walkable. The only thing in walking distance is 15 minutes to a really nice shopping center, but you'll be right on the side of a major road with no sidewalks to get there. Highly recommended if you like quiet luxury, speak decent tourism Spanish, and are comfortable with the Uber app. Last walkability note: there's a surf shop two doors down if you're here to surf."
