The staff at this property were extremely welcoming and I really appreciated that. With only a couple of hours notice they showed up at the airport to meet me and took me to hotel. On the map it appears close to the center of Tarapoto, but it's down the hill across the river in another town called Banda del Shilcayo. It's not far only 10 minutes by Mototaxi, but the hotel is located on a dirt road and difficult for taxistas to find. My Moto taxi drivers had to ask people in the area for help and still had a hard time finding it. The unit itself was extremely basic. The AC in my three bedroom suite was in the master only which was fine but an important fact they should advertise. The bedrooms consist of a basic frame a mattress and basic white sheets. All rooms are lit with a bare bulb in the ceiling. There was no headboard. My room had one nightstand which fell apart as soon as I pulled the drawer out. The closet was extremely cheap, but okay it worked. For me the bathroom was a problem there was no shelving whatsoever to put anything on. The tiny vanity was not even big enough to put a bottle of water on. There was nowhere except the top of the toilet to put a vanity kit or any bathroom items. In the shower there was no place to put shampoo or soap. I get it it's very cheap and it was clean and the people obviously make an effort here to take care of the property but it just didn't work for me.

Why the rush?

Marina House has always been great, but today when we were going to church, they cleaned out our stuff. We were only 30 minutes past check out time. I had stayed there all week!

Muy buena atención, instalaciones limpias. Tienes todo lo necesario para pasar una estadía agradable en familia. Lo único negativo es que la pista en la cuadra no está asfaltada, pero eso no es culpa del establecimiento sino de la municipalidad.

Hôtel OK mais sans plus.

Nous y sommes restés 5 nuits. Nous avions une chambre sur la rue qui était extrêmement bruyante, entre les mopeds, la musique et les chiens qui aboyaient toute la nuit, pas évident de passer une bonne nuit. L'hôtel est aussi en construction (2 étages supplémentaires), donc vers 8:00 les ouvriers commençaient à travailler. L'hôtel est aussi décentré. Il est à 15-20 min à pied du centre et ce trouve dans le bas de la ville. Points positifs : shuttle de et vers l'aéroport ou terminal des bus gratuit et employés très serviables.
