I contacted the hotel through hotels.com to ask if they could do something special for my new spouse. They had a bottle of bubbly and some delicious chocolates waiting for us. She really liked that! It is a grand old hotel built when Comrade Stalin controlled this part of the world but other than the careful restoration, there is nothing Soviet about this place.
