Great location, friendly staff, food options near hotel, shopping area, and the main Kyoto train station is nearby. The rooms are clean, spacious, and have a touch of traditional Japanese theme!

The hotel location and proximity to Kyoto station and other train access points was perfect. The hotel itself is quaint and comfortable, with its own style and charm. The rooms were very comfortable and clean as well. The absolute best part were the staff - friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming and helpful. The owner himself greeted us on our final day and was extremely appreciative and humble. Such a pleasure to support a local business owned by such a lovely person and operated by a wonderful team.

I like the design of the hotel, the bedrooms and even the bathrooms. It’s very new and well designed. Half the room has a tatami with space for three futons, and the bathroom has a separate design so one area for toilet and one area for bath and shower that can be used separately. The staff it’s nice. No restaurant, but they have facilities for cooking, laundry, and movies. They also have a rooftop for when it’s not raining.

Perfect for families

Very nice place to experience a Japanese style kind of living environment. Place is spacious too! Futons perfect for kids to sleep on. Very close to the train and bus stations! Highly recommend. Will love to come back to this hotel again.

The room is a little small for 5 people. The room is nice the only thing is the bathroom is sooooo hot you are sweating while in the bathroom. The tatami mats are ok. The location is great. Just minutes walk to Kyoto station. Tons of food options. The staff is soo nice.

Gathering in Kyoto

The hotel is very unique. Speaking to the owner, he has a. Vision for community within his hotel and provides at least two spaces where guests can gather. There is a “living room” space with a large table and kitchen appliances for simple food prep and coffee and the Sora Skydeck (rooftop) lounge for relaxing under the stars. The room was able to accommodate our party of four comfortably and very clean. Staff is friendly. Great stay!

Loved this property. Has a chill vibe with a beetles theme and cool music playing, very kid friendly, story books, art supplies, origami, a shop inside the lobby, room sizes are huge can sleep up to 6 the futons were super comfortable, the bathroom is so fancy and luxurious, owner was very nice, laundry facilities are so clean. Loved all the amenities available and free yukata to wear during stay. Has a vending machine and kitchen in lobby. Very close to Kyoto station. And the cutest rooftop terrace to chill has stage and cute fairy lights qnd a stage. Only 4 levels so not so crowded.
