Stranded. Arrived at reception told its overbooked

Reservation confirmed and paid. Show up to the reception area with all of my luggage only to be told to overbooked the room and i didn’t have a place to stay! A travelers worst nightmare. While they were nice about it, i sat on a small couch in a small room with my laptop scrambling to find a place to stay. A complete nightmare. Plus i had to pay for 2 extra Ubers and wasted about 3 hours of my time. Do not recommend

Konum Olarak Oldukça İyi

Konum olarak apart oldukça merkezi bir yerde. Aparta sifre ile girmek biraz ilginç olsa da fiyat/performans olarak fena sayılmaz. Sadece yataklar cok eski ve sert. Onun dışında oda sıcaklığı ve sıcak su gayet memnun edici. İngilizce bilmeleri de önemli bir detay.

Fabulous thrifty location

Great location, small bathroom with stairs, plus bed was on odd platform with stairs. Apartment is in grouping of apartments with staff there most times. Fridge is nice & hot water kettle. Had to print my boarding pass (required by airline) & front desk had printer problems which was frustrating. After inquiring about how I could get it printed, staff suggested a print shop, but 15 min later sent me a text & offered to have their sister property (5 min away) print it for me-great service!

Great Location , clean and comfortable

communication was excellent , had pre booked car from and to the airport. however when we arrived no-one was there . one quick call to the hotel , 2 minutes later the driver rang apologizing that he'd gone to the wrong terminal and was with us within minutes. 1st impression is a little daunting , a metal door with a small sign outside. like a lot of the old eastern block the apartments are a converted floor in an old building . Once in we were warmly greeted and shown to our spotlessly clean spacious apartment . The location is very good next to the Golden gate , and a few minutes walk to some of the impressive buildings / churches. I would recommend getting taxi to the hotel as it could be easy to miss. All in all a great time in Kiev , we will be returning ..

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times -- in winter, in spring, and in summer -- and it has worked out well every time. i have stayed both alone and with my wife. I come to Kyiv 3-4 times a year for my research, and it always the place where I stay. I highly recommend it.

Ved ankomst til “hotellet” troede jeg taxien havde sat os af det forkerte sted, til jeg fik øje på et meget lidt oplyst 40x40 cm meget lidt oplyst skilt hvor der står Sunday apartment, ved siden af en brun ståldør. Efter at have ringet på klokken blev vi lukket ind i en opgang der ligner et levn fra USSR tiden, slidt og dårligt oplyst, men da vi kom ind på selve “hotellet” var der lyst og lækkert. Tjek ind tog 40 sek og vi fik vist vores værelse, som også er lyst og lækkert, fremstår meget nyt. Bestemt et godt sted at overnatte i Kiev, da det ligger lidt tilbagetrukket fra centrum, men midt i den gamle bydel og i gåafstand til frihedspladsen.

Great location to easily walk to nearby landmarks. The whole city is covered in graffiti and trash so this street was no different. Nice room, secure, good AC unit. Staff friendly enough. My wife speaks Russian so I did not need to find out if they spoke English. No breakfast but we knew that going in. We would stay again. Good value for the price we paid of 50 dollars a night.

Das Haus sieht von außen heruntergekommen aus, aber die Zimmer sind super. Es war sehr ruhig, aber trotzdem sehr nah zum Goldenen Tor und der Metro, die Verkehrsanbindung ist super. Auch der Transfer, den wir über das Hotel gebucht hatten, hat wunderbar geklappt. In der Nähe gibt es viele nette Restaurants.

Good place and very close to the city centre

Hotel location is at the mid of city. Thats very important. Staff are very cheerful. Only one of them know english but others understand enough to communicate. At the icy cold (-8) days they had brought electrical heater extra before we go there. At 26 of january the room was very hot. The only negative thing is: our room is next to the reception. All the speaking come into room. So dont stay at the Room number 1. Generally very good place.

the place was clean and the people working really tried to help as much as they could , the place is easy walking distance to any place in city center. there is a nice breakfast place 2 mins walk across from the golden gate. I had a great time there, the walls are paper thin so if you get noisy neighbors bring ear plugs

The Entrance to property looks like a ghetto, out room was by the receptionist desk and main entrance so noise was a problem. The shower was hanging off the wall and the kitchenette was basically two hob rings. Minimal utensils, no washing up materials and sink was in the toilet. Overall disappointing.

I had a really nice time in Kiev. The apartments are right in the city centre between the Golden Gate and St Sophies Cathedral. The staff could not have been more helpful. My flight was cancelled so I had to stay in Kiev an extra night and they found me a room late in the evening which was really appreciated! I can really recommend Kiev. It is really nice with some beautiful buildings especially the churches. I can also recommend Sunday Apart Hotel. Great value for money and excellent service! I will stay there again soon!

Location good but BROKEN A/C in Room 2

Upon arrival we were pleased with the room, it was clean and tidy and fairly modern. The location is good, right next to the Golden Gate and only 10 minutes walk to Maidan. Unfortunately, that's all the good I have to say. We visited in summer and it was extremely hot outside. The air conditioner in our room was broken and after we tried to explain the issue to the receptionist (who did not speak English, there is one who does but she was not working) she simply turned the temperature down on the remote and walked out of the room. I mean why didn't we think of that (SARCASM). We decided to try and salvage our stay by opening the one window and using the air conditioner on the fan function to try and push air around the room. Unfortunately for us, the compressors for the other AC units for the other rooms were located next to our window and it just created more hot air. We found ourselves avoiding our room and spending as munch time as possible outside (it was actually cooler). After spending another night in our room (SAUNA) I complained to the English receptionist who came to check the AC again. After deciding it was broken she informed us that there were no other rooms available and to just open the window. She actually looked visibly uncomfortable standing in the heat of our room. We checked out 2 nights early as we couldnt stand it any longer. We are from Australia, we understand heat but this was way too much.

Excellent Location

Located in a Soviet Era building is, from the outside, not a good first impression. However, once inside the private suite of apartments, anyone who finds faults with this property is being very harsh. Friendly and eager to please staff represent the good qualities of the whole business. This is my fourth visit to Kyiv and my first visit to Sunday Apartments. They will be my first choice on my next trip. I wish them great success.
