"Part of this hotel is under renovation. Improvements are being made but the service is excellent as provided by Dilan, the owner. This hotel has a huge lake right behind it and it is sanctuary to wild life. Very quiet and peaceful. I strongly recommend it."

"I really enjoyed my stay at Kutumbaya. The staff were really friendly and helped organise a safari and tour of the ancient ruins for me. The food was great, particularly the Sri Lankan breakfasts. "The team at Big Game was amazing! We booked because we really wanted to do a safari and that was amazing but we were blown away be everything else! The food was above and beyond what I expected with 4 courses for dinner, 3 at lunch , and a very full breakfast. They list breakfast as continental but it's much more than that. The first tent we were in was fine but we upgraded part way through and really appreciated the extra space! "

"This is a primitive camping site. Yes the tent is large and there is an outdoor toilet and shower which is delightful but this is still just a camp site. No other facilities. There is no A/C and it can get quite hot in the tent. We had a wonderful candle lit dinner by the chef who also lit us a fire which was beautiful under the stars. Some holes in the tent need to be fixed due to mosquitos. "
