"Exceptional hospitality and stunning views! We received the warmest welcome we could have ever imagined. A huge thank you to Anja at reception; she made us feel right at home the moment we stepped inside. She truly went above and beyond, ensuring every detail was perfect and even arranging a special surprise for my birthday—a gesture that made our stay unforgettable! The entire team is friendly and professional, but a special shout-out goes to the Chef in the main dining room. As vegans, we sometimes find buffets limiting, but the Chef was incredibly accommodating, preparing a delicious, bespoke vegan meal for our main dish for us almost every evening. Shame the soups, starters (except the salads & obvious steamed mixed vegetables) and desserts (excepts fruits) are all non-vegan. They could have at least prepared 1 cake out out 5 or 7 cakes made as vegan. The facilities are top-notch; the pools and jacuzzis are pristine and well-maintained. There is nothing quite like a morning swim while soaking in those iconic views of Lake Bled and the castle. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality getaway! But there’s no gym so that’s one star less and the vegan selection for dinner buffet. "

"The room are clean! And the location is really ideal in terms of walkable distance to everywhere i needed to go during my stay. Breakfast spread is also good as well! Staffs were welcoming and courteous. I had a pleasant stay there!"

"Avery nice hotel pretty much in the centre of Klagenfurt. Very clean. Friendly, helpful staff. My room was small, and there is really no space or rack on which to open a suitcase. Good food at the next-door restaurant."

"The pros: good location. Staff are generally helpful, if not overly friendly. The hotel is clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet is quite good, and the buffet dinner if you have it is not bad value at €22 for all you can eat and it’s not bad quality. The beds are comfortable. The cons: room is very spartan, didn’t even have a kettle, which we had to request from the reception, fortunately they had one left. No air conditioning, quite stifling in the room, glad it wasn’t too hot when we were there, otherwise it would be unbearable. We were in a room facing the front of the hotel and every morning a very loud church bell would go off at 7am for a few minutes. No sleeping through it. Great alarm if you want to be woken at 7, but terrible if you want any sort of lie in. Our shower holder was broken and two mornings there was no hot water! For a 4 star hotel this is all really poor. The swimming pool complex is large with jacuzzi (you have to pay extra for the sauna), and it’s a horseshoe shape, almost like a small water park, which is great for kids and families splashing about, but no good if you actually want to do any proper swimming. If it had been an £80 a night 3 star hotel we would have been quite happy with it, but for the money we paid and it supposedly being 4 star, we weren’t impressed and overall would not recommend it. On a side note, the tourist tax is more than hotels.com quote. It’s €7 per night."
