Good place, toilets smelt a tiny bit and I didn’t really like having to walk through the chains as it felt unsanitary.. General decor was pretty creative and good location. Probably has a better atmosphere during non covid times :D Not my favourite hostel but not the worst

Great hostel
This place is well thought out privacy curtains in the dorm two plugs plus USB sockets. Nice bar friendly staff super clean. Great showers and a drying area.

Comfortable place with good location.
Great location. Close to street food market and quick Taxi ride to the pier. This place was very clean and organized. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom facilities. You have a ton of storage space for your belongings as well. The reception desk also helped me print off my ferry tickets to the islands. I’ll most likely stay here again in my return trip to Krabi in a few weeks.

Ok stay
It seemed to be better than some of the other options although it was pricey. The pods themselves were nice and comfortable. But the beds are crammed in, not much room when people are at the lockers between the beds. And there are 2 toilets and 4 showers upstairs between what must be around 35+ beds, you then have to go downstairs to the ‘outside’ ones if you need too. Would recommend and would stay again, but i think it is overpriced for what it is, I know the whole of phi phi is, but this place compared to other places .

Good hostel
Very confortable. Spacious and clean. The school theme is nice. Bar games and some activities organised. Check all boxes. Not much to do around but that's Krabi.

Great for partying, not for relaxing
Liked the condition of the rooms and cleanliness, found cheap but good local Thai food around too! It was awesome to meet new people as well, since 8-10 people shared the dorm together and most of us were very cool and friendly. However, it was very annoying since people were too excited about pub crawl party, most of dorm roommates came back at mid night, still excited with fancy flashlights on their heads, when rest of us were sleeping. In conclusion, it's a great place if you want to meet new people and have fun partying, but not recommended if you just want to relax from hangover of Phiphi or phangan or trying to catch a flight in early morning.

Excelent location and great services.
Highlights: superb location (100 m from boats to Railey beach, on the route of the buses to and from bus station and Ao Nang beach, near shopping and close to the night food market. Staff very helpful, they offered me the solution for my transport to Phuket that I thought it was goingto be a nightmare. No kitchen or a kettle to boil water. I enjoyed free barbecue satay every night and there is a coffee shop nearby with great coffee. I would like to remind everybody that transportation in Thailand can be expensive if you are out of the buses circuit.

Hostel was nice with a good atmosphere. Rooms are very basic and can here music from bar, we had shared bathroom which was pretty clean. Staff on reception where also pretty helpful

Pretty solid choice
Pak up is a newer hostel. The rooms are spacious and clean with good under bed storage.

DO NOT BUY AN AIRPORT TRANSFER FROM THIS HOSTEL
If you have a flight to catch after staying at this hostel, DO NOT BOOK AN AIRPORT TRANSFER WITH THEM! Just walk around 5 minutes from the hostel and you'll find a bus station where you can buy a ticket for the airport bus with a cheaper price. This hostel takes an advantage from its guests from the airport transfer service. Why did I say that? Because this hostel uses EXACTLY the same bus which goes from the bus station with a higher price-tag.

Hipster hostel for all backpackers
Location is great (close to shops, restaurant, street food, supermarkets, bus stops, pier). Rooms are spacious, airco is working, clean bathrooms and toilets, very helpful staff, free BBQ vouchers for each night you stay... i had very good experience:) would definitely stay there longer- if i didnt have flight at 6am the next day! Thanks for good job:)

Amazing place, rooms are clean, bathroom are spacious and clean. Staff members are friendly and helpful. The patio is a cool place to hang out and have some drinks, music is pretty good too. Good vibe!

Nice hostel to stay in city
I stayed at pal-up hostel around 3 nights. It was amazing if you like to relax there is a bar and play new games everyday. Staff are friendly and good suggestion. Also, it is near a Krabi river ( the heart river of Krabi )

A nice hostel located in a central part of Krabi
Pak Up hostel is very convenient to get to from the airport and is nearby a lot of amenities - coffee shop, massage, nightly food market and goods market. There are a lot of cleaning staff on site and yet it's not as clean as I thought it would be. This might be because the clientele is constantly changing because Krabi is such a big hub to get to other islands. My room was clean but they definitely did not help fix the blinds that were falling off or dust the small spaces or ledges. What was the best was the lockers which were located underneath each bunk beds - they were large, convenient and safe! (Bring your own lock). The air conditioner was a bit weak, even for a room just for 4 people; and the lobby lacks air conditioning so not a lot of people were mingling downstairs when it was 43C outside. The Playground Bar connected to the hotel hosts nightly activities (such as giant Jenga competitions) but mostly the 19-22 year old crowd were there to play Beer Pong and Flip Cup. One last thing is that during my stay, several people got sick from the food at a restaurant directly diagonally across Pak Up so my recommendation is NOT to eat there!

Great location, group hike was very nice, free drink when you book a tour was a plus, hostel bar was nice with games and activities. Nana, game and Aom were superb!

The only bad experience with the hostel, and they will never tell you this, is that there is a bar out back which plays loud music until 2:00am every day. If you get a room close to the bar bring earplugs because you can hear it and almost nothing will drown it out.

Amazing hostel, great staff and as clean as clean can be! Manager Poo is a font of knowledge and can sort any transfers and trips with ease and a smile :) playground bar probably the best nightlife in the entire town and they always have events going on. You won't regret this!!!

Good place!
Wifi wasn't reliable and slow at times, the place was really clean and the beds really comfy, one of the best showers I've had too!! Would recommend and definitely stay again though

Far from the beaches. The lady from the reception wanted to charge me again despite already paying before on hotels.com. There was a period of time with no water on 3rd floor which made it not comfortable. The reception staff was quite cold and acted more like a commercial tour place making business rather than hostel.

Great Location and Decent Hostel
The check-in process was quick since the staff doesn't seem to care much about who goes in and out. No smiles, no greeting, just pure business. I stayed on the second floor in room PE. Not sure if other rooms were experiencing the same connection, but the wifi kept cutting in and out and was extremely slow. The aircon is shut off during the day, I'm thinking to conserve energy? The room itself was clean, but my bed sheet had a few stains on them. Thank goodness for my thin sleeping bag liner I brought. They provide towels for rent, the lockers are underneath the bed and pretty spacious and the restrooms are fairly clean. There's happy hour from 7-9:30pm at their bar called Playground and each night has a different agenda such as Giant Jenga, Twister, Flip Cup contest, etc.

This place was in fact a bar, with also some beds. Extremely loud music from this bar in my dorm until well after 2:00am. After notifying the staff, no follow-up. They did not care at all. Was happy to leave.

Overall pak-up is a good hostel. Bathrooms are clean and it has free shampoo and body wash which was very nice and convenient. Things could be cleaned a bit better as the blankets were never washed or changed upon new guest arrivals. It is a bit of a modern/party hostel with the expectation to be really fun and prepare you for partying on islands like Phi Phi. So if you're not up for partying or are looking for a more cultural experience, there might be better options a available.

Great place to stay on a budget. Top five hostels I've stayed in, friendly staff, good location and spotless. Plenty of hot water no matter what time of the day. Great coffee shop for breakfast, really cheap and opens from 0600.
