We had a lovely time at Hobatere, the staff were outstanding, especially Nicco. The room was very clean, and eco friendly and the food was delicious. The only weak spot was the guiding - we went for a game drive and the guide was not knowledgeable and not interested in hearing what the guests wanted to see.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your time with us. We will take up this matter with the guides at the lodge. Thank you form your comments.
The drive up to the lodge itself was breathtaking, then to see the surrounding views of the bar, restaurant & pool, my jaw dropped. We saw plenty of wildlife & the overall quality of rooms, food, facilities was 10/10. I wish i could have stayed longer.
I bit of advice would be to leave to gift shop open rather than me have to ask to browse, its likely a british thing haha but people may be more likely to purchase :)
Plastic is detrimental to the environment.. Plastic bottles shall be banned on all lodges as it is done at the Skeleton coast , Cape Cross, and most exclusive lodges in Etosha. Very disappointing to see that some lodges do not care for the planet.
Fantastic lodge in a beautiful reserve. Unlike other places where one guy gets rich, this place is community owned and all proceedings go back to locals. We were greeted overwhelmingly friendly and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we have a pleasant stay. On our last morning we were informed that lions made a kill right outside the lodge at the waterhole and were offered a FREE trip with the guides to to have a closer look. How hospitable is that? The guides are experienced and knowledgable and we enjoyed our game drives inside the beautiful Hobatere reserve as well as a full day round trip to Etosha (which is less pretty than the surrounding area of the lodge). Definitely stay here if you want proximity to Etosha but prefer not to stay in the mass tourist government lodges inside the park.

It was a spectacular stay in a spectacular environment. The service and the kindness of the staff was overwhelming. On top of it we watched a herd of elephants all over the day almost in front of our seats.
A hidden gem. Worth visiting every time again

We saw Lions in the evening and the Morning! Perfect place to watch Lions.
The Lodge is also really nice, i torally recommend staying there! We werde camping all the other nights, but this view was totally worth the money.
Výborná kuchyně, ochotný a příjemný personál.
