a fantastic stay
Excellent, a great value in a perfect location near tons of restaurants. Strong wifi and shower, comfortable bed and bedding, very clean, super nice and helpful staff, and kettle + water cooler provided

Ok place for a budget hotel

It would be perfect if the hotel could provide prayer mat and the qibla direction each room for muslim tourist. Overall the receptionist was nice and helpfully.

Friendly owners
Simon and wife are very friendly and helpful. They let me hire their spare car at a very reasonable price which made my getting around flexible and easier in so many ways.

A good stay at Hotel Five2
The accomodation in Hotel Five2 is basic but clean, providing all you would need for a short stay. The staff are extremely helpful and always available to advise. The towels were changed daily and all areas were clean. It's easy to access on the airport bus, but a taxi to the airport was very cheap...ordered for us by the hotel. There is a market very close to the hotel, which was interesting, if a bit noisy, but we managed to sleep and it was usually packed away by 12.30am.

Hotel quite basic but ok for night
This hotel was fine for a night. The mattress is super hard. The owners are friendly and helpful. Its close to the Filipino market which is a great place to go and eat or even just to have a look.

Tiny rooms, good location
The room was inexpensive, but you don't really get a lot. Very small room, literally the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. We stayed for a short night before an early flight (10pm-4am) so it was fine, but for more than one night or with more than one person, it would become annoying to climb over each other and our luggages. We didn't really stay long enough to interact with staff, but check-in/check-out was fast and easy. Only warning would be that there are 3 floors and no elevator, not even a dumbwaiter for luggage, so we carried our luggage up 3 flights in the heat which wasn't ideal. Seemed to be in a convenient part of town (plenty of things nearby and open late), so if you are looking for an inexpensive place then I recommend it, but not for more than one person or more than one night.

Nice clean hotel for travelers on a budget
The building/facilities are a bit old but everything was clean and the bed was good. Room was kind of small but as long as you're not one of those people traveling with multiple giant suitcases it shouldn't be a problem. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful -- check-in/check-out was a breeze. They sell bottles of water for 2 myr/liter which is nice and convenient.

Friendly but too basic for me
The staff here were very helpful, however the room was too basic for me. The shower is pretty much over the toilet so everything gets soaked - not pleasant. There was also a very noisy pump outside making noises the whole night. Ok if you're on a backpacking budget, but if you can afford to pay more then do.

Convenient and clean hotel
This is very good budget accommodation for a stay in KK. The people are helpful and nice. The room was kept clean. It was comfortable and in walking distance from the food markets.

Nice place for the price
Rooms are tiny, but clean. Front desk is super helpful and friendly. Rooms are only cleaned if you request it. It can be noisy in the morning on weekends due to an outdoor market that sets up in the parking lot next door. Its a great place for such a budget price. Just keep your expectations in line will the price.

Great family owned hotel with best service.
Stayed two nights and truly enjoyed the personal touch of the family owned hotel, especially Simon who helped us over and above the normal service you'd expect from similar class hotels. Room rates is value for money. Good local food are within walking distance. Fully recommended.

Basic and ok hotel, unattractive city
The hotel is basic and clean. The city however, is not attractive and very dirty with rubbish in most places. Unless you must go to KK, I would recommend going directly to your destination, fx flying/driving to Sandakan/Sepilok. If you stay in KK, try the food market at the seaside, but expect is to be very dirty (but also interesting).

特别特别感谢酒店老板和老板的儿子的帮助。特别是他帮助我们下载了当地的“滴滴叫车”平台软件，不仅仅解决了在KK地区的交通。整个马来西亚的行程，我们全部依赖这个轿车平台，非常方便、快捷、省钱（比出租车节省10%-50%）。
