"The property is situated in a peninsula in Kalutara on a road with almost no traffic, a pleasant surprise in such a busy (and wonderful) city. The beach is lovely, but not swimmable because of strong currents. The room was large and bright. The washroom was clean, and the shower was awesome. It was roomy and had a shower head on the ceiling from which a cascade of water came down. It was great! But, it is not that easy to get to, The road to the bungalow is largely unpaved and steep but, for us, that was all part of the attraction. The surroundings are beautiful - lush green jungle, beautiful rice paddies, local temples etc. But, if you don't have your own vehicle then it is not possible to get out at night. The cuisine is local and very good....
