"Location was good with backdrop of the mountains, the room was very spacious with high arched ceilings. Offerings of breakfast buffet were good but not great. Local cuisine dishes( payasam(rice and vermicelli pudding), curry leaf marinated steamed fish, appam, vada and sambar) were really good. Itโs real value for what you pay. Cons: Hot water was barely enough for one person, had to wait for 10-15 min before next person could take shower with hot water. "

"Initially we booked a standard AC room but upgraded to a deluxe AC room on the 2nd floor which has been constructed newly. The room had ample space with a small balcony as well as with TV and a small storage cupboard. The room, attached bathroom-toilet was clean and the bed linen as well as towels were clean. Provision for tea/coffee in the room was available. A table chair would have been nice. Nearby dining options are available. The not-so good reviews are mostly due to the standard rooms on the first floor. Overall, a decent budget hotel close to the Kayamkulam train station with friendly front-desk staff who can arrange transport to visit nearby places."
