"Astir was literally across the street from the ocean. I did not have a full ocean view from my room, but I could see it from my balcony on the side of the building. It was a single room, so the bathroom was small, but the bed was comfortable. It was a lovely room for the price. The staff were very nice and friendly. There was a bar open in the afternoon/evening with a wonderful view of the ocean. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I would stay here again. "

"No one at front desk—a man arrived but did not speak English; we thought he was a guest but he called someone on his cell phone and handed it to me—a woman spoke with me briefly and then the man showed us to our room. Old refrigerator; door did not close, freezer was full of frost. Very few patrons; good because cheap hollow core doors shut very loudly and marble floors very noisy. "Situated near the airport, the hotel/resort is easy to get to. The hotel will arrange airport transport for a small fee. It is well staffed and exceptionally clean. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is on the ocean with access to a nice nearby beach. Several economical restaurants are within 2-3 minutes walk. Rental cars are available at the property (requiring international driving license) and are a must for seeing the area and the island. There are no shuttles to nearby towns or other parts of the island, so the rental car is the way to go. The restaurant food is very good, as is the free breakfast. The only "down side" would be the for the breakfast buffet where food was not replaced for long periods, example fried eggs and other items went empty for a while before they were refreshed. Other than that the place is really nice."

"Excellent hotel with fabulous facilities. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast were very nice in the Selini Restaurant, lunch is the Gaia also very good. Dinner in the Gaia offered a wide selection of options however the Selini could have offered more choice including a fresh grilled fish dish. I would definitely stay there again if I was to return to Kefalonia."

"We had a lovely stay at Liberatos Village. We stayed in an apartment with a kitchenette, which was a great choice. It seemed reasonably new compared with other parts of the hotel and was very clean and comfortable, with one of the best showers we've ever had at any Greek accommodation! The hotel is sprawled across a large area, and our room was quite a walk from the reception and pool area, but we appreciated the privacy this afforded. Lassi is a small but very pleasant resort, with many nice tavernas and easy transport links to nearby Argostoli. Please note that it is very hilly! We had not fully appreciated how steep a hill the hotel was on, which made the walk down to the main street and back up again each time rather daunting. Many people took a taxi up the hill, which cost EUR 8 each time, but we preferred to brave the walk - we certainly came home fitter than when we arrived! We were rewarded at the top by the stunning views. We must also thank Liberatos Village for putting us up for an extra night after our 8.30pm flight home was grounded at the last minute. They were very kind and accommodating during these difficult circumstances and we really appreciated it."

"Beautiful clean rooms and great surroundings, both pools are just fabulous. The vegan restaurant was absolutely amazing with very creative food and staff also so lovely. The breakfast was average with very little vegan options which was very surprising considering the vegan restaurant at the hotel. It was really just toast and cereal available."
