"Location is excellent, right on the beach. Rooms have large lockers. Wifi doesn’t reach the rooms and barely works at the beach bar. Bunk beds move a lot and make noise. "
"The pools are amazing. Large upper pool for swimming laps. Views and the convenience was great for first few days in Koh Tao. The Factory restaurant next door great for healthy and some gluten free food. "
"I think this place does not deserve the negative reviews it gets. First, there are NO accommodations on the beach. It's a small island; almost everything is on a hill. Cleaning is only every 3-4 days or on request; this isn't a 5-star hotel! This is the ONLY truly Green Accommodation I have encountered; the owner deserves respect & gratitude for trying so hard against the wave of the non-caring. The staff is friendly; they are doing the best they can. The food is decent. The room was much more...
"Nice hotel with great pool and friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay! A bit remote so rather quite but walkable to restaurants and bars as well as beach "
"Stayed in the triple room - was lovely and spacious. Everything was so clean. Loved the swimming area and beach bar!! The staff were so friendly and helpful too for booking tours! "

The pristine beaches and ample dining options are top of the list for many visitors to Ao Thian Og. A stop by Shark Bay or Haad Sai Daeng Beach might round out your trip.
Explore the lovely green spaces of Laem Thian and enjoy the diving spots in Koh Tao. Wander the area's beautiful beaches or simply enjoy one of its lively bars.
It's an increasingly busy island with far too many scooters and scooter shops especially around Sairee Junction - traffic jams every day around 5pm!

Really lovely with a completely different vibe to other parts of Thailand. Watching the sun set on Sairee Beach is the highlight of the day.

Vibrant nightlife. A young crowd, backpacker vibe. Renting a moped and exploring beaches and viewpoints is a must

They are managing their growth well, but they shouldn't let bikes drive on Sairee walkway.

Koh Tao is a lovely island. The age demographic is quite young but the beauty and the diving is expectional.

The VIP snorkelling trip was brilliant, great value for money. I also liked the fact that there was a free transfer to and from the ferry. Well organised.

Favourite beach was Sai Daeng. Pure coral beach and amazing snorkelling. I recommend Coral View Resort for 2/3 nights. Also Bubble Bungalow was ace at £28/night, easy access to Shark Bay and John Suwan viewpoint then chill in balcony hammock at end.

"Lovely hotel. Beautiful surroundings. We had the 2 bed royal suite which was wonderful, specious, and had stunning views. Direct access to the sea where we saw sharks and turtles. Great cocktails by the pool. "
"I fell in love with the hotel. Its location was perfect, away from the city & night life noise, right on the beach, with delicious breakfast included, and most importantly only three minutes away from the Coral Grand Divers PADI office. The service was amazing. Drinks and snacks were included in the room bar, daily shuttle to and from the city. We forgot one of the backpacks in the shuttle when going to a different island, and they delivered it to us before we started boarding the ferry. I’d give them A+ and def would stay there again and recommend it to others. "
"You can get a free transfer to and from the pier which is super helpful. The hotel is massive and the restaurant breakfast/ food was really nice. It is in a great Location and there is lots to do round it. The hotel restaurant also has entertainment in the evening and the bands were really great. The views are in incredible from the pool near the gym. No pressure if you don’t want to do the diving. "
"It is a beautiful resort amazing food a big variety to order and very well priced accommodation is excellent the snorkeling is the best on the island "
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Tarna. Decent breakfast spread without being overly fancy. The free shuttle to and from town (and to and from the ferry) was greatly appreciated. The onsite dive school was excellent and we had great dives with them. The fact that their equipment is in great condition and they have their own traning pool at the hotel were big pluses. We had a room with its own pool, which we really enjoyed - But be aware that these rooms are all facing onto the construction site next door. I estimate that it will be ongoing for at least another year (we stayed in April 2025). To be fair it wasn't that intrusive, but I think potential guests should know about it."
"We were lucky enough to have a beachfront room so our view was amazing, the staff very attentive .The property is at the end of walking street so not noisy, a great place to stay"
