Great breakfast! Excellent service, the lady at the reception area scheduled transportation from the Hotel to our next place (another island/hotel). Our room/cabin was very quiet and super close to the pool and beach. They cleaned the room daily and always left water bottles for us. They had plenty of chaise longues and towels in the pool/beach area. Definitely will be back.

Loving Lamai
This is our second time in the last three years to stay at Lamai Wanta. We loved the pool, excellent access to the beach and the wonderful buffet brunch. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The front desk staff are very accommodating and efficient. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Besides being right on the beach, the resort is just one block off of the Lamai Beach Road for easy access to shopping, restaurants and convenience stores. Our time there was very relaxing. The downside is the European tourist habit of smoking. There are a lot of them and they are not very considerate and of course the Thai people are very polite and accommodating. I did not enjoy my patio much because of the neighbours smoking. It's great that there is a lot to do in Lamai. We would definitely go back and we recommend this resort. Great value for the price.

This resort is on a very rough part of the Gulf. The beautiful pool provided an alternative to swimming in the Gulf. The resort is very well managed and operated and the staff went out of their way for the guests. The restaurant and bar service during the day was great. We had lunch there twice and the food was excellent. Happy hour is something this resort should consider as the price of drinks are a little on the high side.

We stayed at the Lamai Wanta Beach Resort for 8 nights & did not want to leave. The attractive grounds are a well designed cluster of low rise (2 & 3 storey) buildings & a number of bungalows between the beach & the low rise buildings. We loved the elephant towel creations that greeted our arrival! The lovely beach is a minute’s walk from the room. The water is wonderful for swimming. You do not have to walk for long to get to deeper water. The beach is long & scalloped, but as the sand is grainy, the walking is aerobic! Fronting the property is both the restaurant & the infinity pool. We had all our breakfasts & a number of other meals in the restaurant & enjoyed every one. The coffee machine, with fresh beans, dispensing lattes & cappuccinos was much appreciated. There are over 40 loungers in good condition! The pool was very clean. There was some shade, under a huge malabar tree & a number of attractive beach umbrellas. The staff were friendly & helpful. The resort was well maintained & pretty. Our room was well cleaned daily. Our room was nice, with a fair sized desk & adequate storage room. There were coffee making supplies in our room, as well as access to a coffee machine in the reception room/library. The balcony with a drying clothes rack was a good size & felt private. I didn’t need to use mosquito repellent & got only 1 bite during our whole stay! The only downside to our stay was that the excellent wifi had to be continually signed in. We want to return here!!

Dear Guest, Thank you for your staying and sharing this feedback on expedia. you stayed in room 706 from 28/12/2019 - 05/01/2020 unfortunately, we never received any complaints during your stay. date of 31 December 2019 was New Year's Eve, the bars, restaurants opened lately for celebration but only 1 night as all bars and restaurants have to closed before mid night and it's minimal noise! please understand that our reception is 24 hours and I'm on duty daily in case of unpleasant stay. however, if there was any inconvenience caused I take this opportunity to apologize and we are keeping to improve our outstanding in 3 star Eco-friendly Resort. Initially there was no transparency, on the Expedia page, about the fact that Lamai Wanta was renovating their pool even though it is the draw card photo on the Expedia page. We would NEVER have booked if this fact hadn't been so ambiguously hidden. Upon our 10pm arrival, not only would they not refund our pre-booked 2nd night on our request but wouldn't budge with any customer-service spirit of compensatory offers, it was a case of passing the buck to the executive decision makers of old-school business principles, at our expense.

Really fantastic service. Staff locked my safe when I forgot and came to open when I returned. Very accommodating and super friendly. Rooms were very clean and breakfast options were delicious. Highly recommend. Beach was beautiful and morning walks are awesome!

This property is on the beach and close to the nicest restaurants in Lamai. Very convenient location. The breakfast is sufficient and fresh . one of the few properties to have jellyfish protection on the beach the bedclothes were not the cleanest on some days and the pool is nothing special

Lamai Wanta may be the best value for money hotel in Lamai. For the price, it’s clean, has nice rooms facing a well maintained jungle like garden area with plenty of shade, and the food is.good, with decent breakfast buffet. The pool is inviting and the location good for accessing the “main drag” in Lamai yet the resort itself is quiet. Would come back if in Lamai.

It doesn't look as nice as the photos and the Manager & Resort staff are unpleasant and rude. The rooms are VERY noisy, you can hear people burping in other rooms, not pleasant. Management pretend they don't know, I find this difficult to believe. There is a box jellyfish problem on the beach, people have died and the beach is VERY unsafe particularly for women at night. Not somewhere I would recommend.

Dear Guest, Firstly, thank you for extension stay with us as your 1st call period 12-19 June and extended to 2nd call till 26 June 2019 we supposed you are happy! unfortunately the complaint started this evening! and I was not onsite as such hotel owner tried to find solution and excused you personally concerning your complaint a noise from kid next to your room she actually deeply apology what you unsatisfied stay and tried to explain what the resort could offer you to make you complete holiday, she requested you to stay in garden villa for upgrade without any extra cost but you denied as such she requested a family with kid to move in to garden villa instead and they fully understand and happy acceptance. Please be informed that Lamai Wanta Beach Resort is the only one property on Koh Samui where sacrifices this huge mesh for prevention of toxic jellyfish not only for hotel guests but also every tourists on Koh Samui. please contact me directly for correct information. furthermore, all guests stay with us always safe within the resort premises patrol by 2 hotel guards all night. Excellent value for money. Staff friendly and helpful - lovely location, right on the beach. Food pretty good and rooms clean and comfy. Only negative was that some of the tiles in the pool need replacing as they are sharp and broken. Wifi pretty weak too - but that was a bonus in my mind!

Lovely beach Hotel
Overall Had a great 7 day stay. Loved it Pros Room was nice wit balcony looking into lush green forested area with other buildings spotted throughout Right on a great beach with fine white sand. Excellent walking beach. Nice and long. Loungers and umbrellas with some nice tree shade just beside pool. Staff were always smiling and helpful. Rom was always kept clean. Close to lots of restaurants, bars, shopping, etc also has a night food market a few blocks away Good party area but hotel is off the Main Street by a block, so nice and quiet. Cons If you want a lounger, umbrella, or shade you need to book one with the supplied beach towels by 6:00 am. They allow guests to do this so it becomes a must.

Take this hotel only if good weather
The hotel was good we enjoyed the service but the weather was bad rainy and we could not enjoy the place breakfast was very good and staff help us during the rain

Loved Hotel being so close to beach. Easy access.
We enjoyed our Villa very much. Only disappointment was we were at the very back of hotel. Our holiday was booked more than 3 months in advance so was surprised at where we were located. It was however very clean and well maintained. Staff were lovely and friendly everywhere within the resort, and loved the outlook to beach from where we had brekky each morning.

Resort Location is at Lamai beach which is quiet and far from chaweng beach, if you want to be at the center of Samui, this is not the location for you. the resort is located in a nice surrounding , in front of a lovely beach , but its room are quite old and smell of dumps, the internet is very slow ,breakfast is very basic and require an update .

Lovely hotel
Lovely beachfront property which has high standards of cleanliness throughout. Excellent breakfast choice and lunch menu very reasonably priced. This hotel has stinger nets so very safe swimming.

2nd Stay here. Best location in Lamai. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms clean and tidy. Great balcony on 2nd level. Will stay here again.

Great location and value for money, food is lovely and the pool is great right over looking the beach. I would stay here again and definitely recommend it

OK stay
The resort is nice, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The resort is located right on the beach with many sun lounges available. The breakfast selection is quite minimal, not a very wide selection like i have experienced in other hotels. I stayed in a standard room, the room is very dark and outdated, quite small and has a strange musty smell to it. Bathroom is quite small but the bed was rather comfortable. I think the rooms need a little updating, furniture is very old and drab looking and not much effort put into it. For the price though it is good for what you get.
