This hotel is in a perfect location but needs a lot of work done to it. Many small issues add up to a big no thanks for future stays. Talking with other guests we heard about multiple plumbing issues in various rooms. Friendly owners but they need to invest more in maintenance.

Reasonable beach hotel. Be aware of name change.
This hotel recently changed its name but all of the signs and all of the locals know it only under the old name as Choeng Mon Beach hotel. The taxi driver had big problems finding it. The hotel is in a great location right on a nice beach . Big room and balcony with everything you need although a little unloved. Decent breakfast served down at the beach beach restaurant, there is very little choice tho. Rooms do not get serviced unless you ask.

Quick stop off - no more than ok!
Run down hotel but you get what you pay for. It was clean though, with functional air con so on a budget - it meets requirements. Pool very green and no warning of this but the hotel is on the beach so you can't really complain. Local area ok - a handful of restaurants and convenience stores but nothing crazy...

Wifi Issues
It was the perfect location, but my main complaint is that the Wifi was non-existent. I had a difficult time planning things to do with my friends. The first day I had to wander the streets to find my group due to lack of wifi.

Tranquil relaxation
One of the best resorts I have ever stayed in. My room was facing the sea; in fact, it was literally on the beach. The resort is some distance from the city and i would recommend this to anyone who would like to spend some quality time on the lap of nature. The staff were friendly and nice. They are ready to help you with your requirements. The only thing I missed was a breakfast buffet. However, no one can have the best of both worlds. The tranquility, ambience and the comfort made my travel a most memorable experience.

Wonderfull beachside location..
Stayed for 5 days , nice quiet area , best beach on the island , plenty of places to eat close by but still retains a village feel.

Large clean room
The room was double the size of other rooms we have had in Thailand for the same price. All facilities were available as advertised. The room was quiet and in a convenient location. We were very happy with our stay.

We were very disappointed in the condition of the room. The room was filthy to say the least. Cobwebs in the corners of the room. The toilet needed a good scrubbing including the toilet bowl. There were no other rooms available at that time of the year so we could not be accommodated in another room.

Nice place, but renovation needed!
Perfect location right at the beach, nice pool, friendly staff, but still the whole place is suffering from its age and the lack of maintenance. Staff are friendly, but not very attentive. A complete revamp of the whole place (and the management) would do.

Booked this room in Jan 14 for 6 nights at New Year. Read reviews and requested room SK1 Photo of rooms looked good Arrived and was not offered room SK1. Room looked like a backpackers hostel room. Premium linens and towels were badly stained. I was furious. I complained to the owner and he just smiled but it was clear he was not going to take any action. Thankfully the young man behind the counter did and he offered me SK2 next to the beach This room was in desperate need of updating but it was clean and we had a daily change of towels. The breakfast was excellent. Location could not be faulted It is cheap so I guess you do get what you pay for. The reception staff were always tip top - no complaints at all

As the price it is pleasant and quiet stay
The hotel is not located on the main road we spent a bit time to find it,but it is ok. We stayed there for four nights. It was really good for the price we paid. The beach is just one minute walk from your room. And many restaurants and massage shops around,also a 7-11. In here has nice gym room and swimming pool. Basicly you can get what u need. The room is quite basic if u look for luxury staff u cannot find here. Choeng mon beach is nice sandy and some rocks on the side.but it is not so busy as the others, if u want parties not in here. The staffs are nice too, always give help when needed. Maybe it was not peak season we had a quiet stay.

We were given a room in a building only a couple of minutes walk away but it felt unsafe. Our double bed was two singles pushed together and were extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom was horrendous, the toilet needed a thorough clean and needed a new toilet seat. The bedding was stained and did not match. There were glasses in the fridge but no water. The door to the balcony had holes in meaning mosquitos could get in, luckily i had a mosquito plug in otherwise we would have been bitten in our sleep. Our balcony looked on to a dodgy car park. The towels were of awful quality, small and smelt very damp n musty. There was no breakfast or free drink included which I find ridiculous for the price n condition of room. The only positives is the closeness to the beach and the pool was ok.

Beautiful Location!
A little difficult to get too, taxi from airport agreed as 200 baht then changed mind at hotel and charged double and really intimidated us. Hotel was perfect to explore Koh Samui. Beautiful location, hotel facilities basic but hotel reception staff really helpful. Good restaurants in Choeng Mon and taxi buses frequent to catch and get around the island.

Never ever again!
We had one of the cheaper room and you really get what you pay... Our bathroom was really dirty, we had to clean our toilet before we could use it. There were also bugs in the room, so it wasn't a pleasent stay and we were happy to leave the hotel.

Great stay!
Hotel was great. The beach is 20 seconds away. Nice quiet location but still has everything you could need right on its doorstep. Away from the noise of chewang but nearer enough to get there quickly, as we did every other day. Would defo recommend, good value for money. Will be returning!

Great value hotel
This hotel offered great value for money in an excellent location between the beach and the main shopping road. having Aircon, satellite tv and a fridge in the room were good value for the price we paid. Staff were minimal (eg.no help to carry bags up to room) and the hotel looks a little shabby in places but for the price this was expected and it was very good. Room was clean, well presented and everything worked except the hot water. Definitely recommend this hotel if you are on a budget.

Great Location
The hotel is in an ideal location. It is right on the beach and only a couple of minutes walk from the main street which contained a great choice of restaurants and shops. However, I had booked a bungalow (which was considerably more expensive) as a treat for my wife and I. The bungalow room was in need of an extensive upgrade. The shower operation was erratic and it's area was a entry port for all sorts of insect & wild life. The attic space above seem to house birds and lizards chasing each other during the night. The Air Conditioning, although welcoming, was so noisy we had to wear earplugs when sleeping...I suppose that helped to drown out the wild life activity in the attic. The rooms, however, where cleaned every day. Overall, the hotel is in an ideal spot and with some upgrading it has the potential to be so much better.

Was at the end a good stay because I was with my mother and we were out of the room most of the time. sheets had stains, no warm water and staff wasnt realy friendly. internet didnt work. it is very beautifull at night with the lights and darkness covering the NO maintenance that gets done... would never stay there again! DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT YOU SEE IN PICTURES!!!

best hotel in Samui....
I have now stayed at the Choengmon Hotel 3 times and its one of my favourite hotels in Asia.. the staff are really friendly, its on the best beach in Samui, base the best restaurant in Samui, and is incredible value for money... I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a chilled time in Samui...

This hotel is really good, clean, comfortable and close to the beach ! But we booked for three peoples and the third Bed was a board, and we had just two breakfast for three peoples, so we were really not happy and they give us the third ! Just one last: the beach is really not clean, Damage !

We spent 3 nights at the hotel. We found it easy to get there. It takes about 10 minutes in a taxi to chaweng beach and 10 minutes to the pier for koh phangan, which was nice. We had no problems with noise!

Al lado de la playa bien situado
Cuando llegamos nos dieron una habitación que no funcionaba el aire acondicionado y no sabían cambiar la clave de la caja fuerte muy amablemente nos cambiaron de habitación en la cual si funcionaba el aire pero no había caja fuerte y la señal del Wi-Fi era bastante mala, limpio. El lugar está cerca de la playa donde te dan toalla y tumbona gratis. el Personal es muy amable

J'adore séjourner dans cet hôtel !
C'est la deuxième fois que je me rends dans cet hôtel et je suis à chaque fois ravie de passer un séjour là bas. Je trouve que le rapport qualité prix est imbattable. Evidemment, ce n'est pas un 5 étoiles , donc n'ayez pas les exigences d'un 5 étoiles. Mais il vaut largement ses 3 étoiles :-) Bref, moi j'adore cet endroit, avec des chambres spacieuses, une belle piscine et la très jolie plage à 100 mètres.

ห้องสวยโอเคร แต่ไม่ค่อยสะอาดเท่าไหร่ แอร์ก็มีเสียงดัง รีโมทแอร์ก็ใช้ไม่ได้ ทีวีก็ไม่มีเสียง ต้องปรับปรุงนะครับ รึว่าอาจจะเป็นแค่บางห้องก็ไม่รู้ แต่ยังไงก็ต้องให้พร้อมใช้งานทุกห้องนะครับ

Nice beach, but the rest...
We were happy to find a hotel close to the nice beach. We took the decision to book because of the pictures of the hotel. we have to find out, that the reality is not the same. Destroyed bathrooms, wet rooms with mold. Untidy area, green pool. Horrible. The staff was trying to help us as it s best, but they were unable to magic of course. Next time we will take the hooneymon next to the neighborhod

Super séjour , notre chambre était grande propre, le ménage fait tous les jours. Le personnel de l'hôtel tres sympa, Bon rapport qualité prix, sauf que la piscine était indisponible 1 jour sur 2 l'eau, pas grave on se rattrapait à la jolie plage de l'hôtel .

Hotel ist abgewohnt und renovierungsbedürftig. Also keine zu hohen Erwartungen haben. Aber alles nötige funktioniert ordentlich. Zimmer schlicht aber sauber und ausreichend gut. Der Hotelmamager Mr. Kaium Hossen ist super hilfsbereit. Wer keinen großen Luxus erwartet der kann hier in top Strand Lage mit Pool und (veraltetem) Fittnessbereich sehr schön wohnen an einem der schönsten Strände von Koh Samui. Das Hotel soll verkauft werden, deshalb wird leider nur das nötigste renoviert. Aber sonst wäre es auch eher doppelt bis 3 mal teurer, wenn man die Nachbarhotels vergleicht. Insgesamt sehr zufrieden - zum zwetem mal hier - und werde wiederkommen.
