Absolutely loved this place. Very chill and relaxed beach speckled with little beach bars / restaurants and a couple general stores for all your necessities. Beach was stunning and the nicest I have seen in Thailand so far. I LOVED Havana resort. Modest little resort but has everything you could possibly need. Rooms were perfectly appointed and staff were always in and around property cleaning and maintaining. Food was always excellent and loved the beach bar. Free breakfast was modest but had something for everyone. Staff went out of their way to make sure you have what you need for a relaxed stay (taxis, outings, etc). This was my best Thailand experience so far. I would come back to Thailand just to spend a couple weeks here. Lots of children though but I just found quieter spots at the beach so no biggie for me (but that might be a deal breaker for others). 9.5/10!

This family owned and run property is excellent. Staff are so helpful and remember your name. It feels truly Thai authentic, which is why we were there. The beach is beautiful with a Thai message hut next door ($16 CAD for an hour!) The rooms are stunning and the A/C works great.

Beautiful Location and Great Rooms for Families
This is a nice quiet location on Koh Pangan. The beach is amazing for families, as it has fantastic swimming, lounging, etc., and the pool is great! Major improvements need to be made with wifi connectivity (probably nothing owner can do about this, though) and the education of restaurant staff in customer service. The breakfast buffets need variety and some better quality food, too. One big shout out to Su-Myat (restaurant staff), as she truly cares about customers!

Quite relaxing hotel area
The beach is amazing in this area for those who wants to relax and have a quite stay. Everything around closes at 10 pm and no bars or parties near by.

For us it was absolutely PERFECT! Came for 1 night and stayed for 3! Nice room with big balcony, great pool 2 meters from our room, amazing beach few seconds walking from the pool, wonderful breakfast, super friendly and helpful stuff. The hotel location is right on the beach and the atmosphere around is totally amazing. Perfect for families and couples but not for singles- quite, calm and relaxing area without night life

We arrived coincidentally to Havana for only 1 night before we leave Kophangan- and we stayed 3!! Just couldn't leave, it was so perfect. Everything! From the first moment we got out the taxi we felt the good atmosphere. the stuff was totally charming, such a pleasant room with great balcony, amazing swimming pool few steps from the room and less than 1 minute from the beach- one of the greatest beach we have been in Thailand. calm, accessible, perfect for children. wonderful breakfast served, great restaurants along the beach, the rooms scattered in forest- it's very special and calm. In my opinion, The place is more for couples and families- less for singles, it's quiet and calm area with no night life so close. We will definitely go back!!!

Lovely Stay
We had a lovely stay at the Havana Beach Resort, the staff was attentive and the rooms were very clean. We would definitively recommend this hotel, good value for money and located on the best beach on the island. The hotel is a little tired and with some minor improvements could significantly increase it's attractiveness for guests. Overall a very positive experience.

Good choice on Thong Nai Pan Yai
Had a great time here. Room was big and comfortable, only downside was very noisy air cond unit and a plethora of mosquitoes in the room. We tried to keep them out but when staff service the room they do so with the door open so mosquitoes get in. We were eaten alive even though we used repellent. Staff are great, very friendly and welcoming. Pool was lovely and a bit more refreshing than swimming in the warm sea. Great location on a beautiful beach.

Completely neglected. No staff in sight at any hour of the day to help. Paid for a transfer to leave the hotel and no one showed up so had to search for a taxi at 5am. Not a single person staying in the hotel which was kind of creepy. Guard dogs at night which didnt help when the dogs surrounded you trying to walk to your room and again no staff in sight to help. Better hotels on the beach with reliable staff.

We booked two rooms and stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We were really impressed with the hotel and the experience we had there. I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a nice hotel on the beach on koh phangan.

Our favourite hotel in Thailand (out of 5 so far)
I don't often take the time to write a review, but since myself and my partner were both very pleased with our stay at Havava Beach Resort, we felt we should write this - partly as a way of saying thanks. We received a warm welcome when we arrived, and the knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating lady at reception helped us plan out our time in Koh Phangan. The room was very nice, and had character and a fair sized balcony. On our second day we arrived back to our room to find some towel sculptures and rose petals! I'm not sure if this is a standard thing they do, or if they assumed we might be on our honeymoon, but either way, it was nice, and appreciated! The location was ideal for us, there is a fair range of places to eat on this beach, and the food at Havana is really good - when on holiday we usually try somewhere new each evening, but we ate twice at Havana, and enjoyed the experience on both occasions. A short walk down the beach, and there are some nice massage places, some evening entertainment - e.g. a place with music and fire sticks, some places with louder music, other places for a more romantic meal, prices very reasonable throughout. There is a regular boat service travelling from this hotel's beach south to other beaches, and on to Koh Samui. We took this down to the next beach for a walk up a waterfall - recommended. On one day of our visit we went for a day trip snorkelling - it was a great trip. We mentioned we we'd probably miss breakfast as we would need to leave so early, and without prompting our friendly lady at reception offered to have a breakfast prepared for us so that we could eat in our room before leaving. At other hotels there had been strict rules to not use the pool after a certain time... at Havana, we'd use the pool late, and one of the staff would notice and turn on the in-pool lighting for us. All the staff we met seemed genuinely nice, happy and friendly - it's something that you can't get from 'training', but that you can get from running a business well and treating your employees well. Staff, in particularly the lady at reception, when out of their way - and beyond our expectations, to help us on a number of occasions. We would happily go back and spend more time at the Havana. Very good value. Thank you Havana Beach Resort for our stay!

Nice room if aircon has been cleaned recently
The rooms are nice, the hotel has a nice garden and pool also. The room was smelly when we arrived, this was due to the aircon which smelled of mould or something. I asked at the reception for another room, but the smell was there also. Then I asked for maintenance of the aircon (cleaning, etc.) and this fixed the problem. From then on the stay was nice. The restaurant of Havana is overpriced and the food quality is not goot. Try the Nice Beach Bungalows restaurant, we liked that. Transport is very expensive on the island and the inhabitants seem to have a kind of agreement, because you get the same prices everywhere.

PROS: beautiful beach, hotel situated right on the water, cute little village, nice/helpful hotel staff, big rooms, pool and beach side massage services, breakfast included. CONS: the 'musky' odor in hotel room (although we were not in room often, the smell was overwhelming), no beach chairs on beach. If going to the full moon party the hotel is quite far (45-60 min away) and cabs will nickel and dime you to get home. Overall a nice, comfortable hotel but if I was going back I would stay somewhere else. Have fun on the island, it's beautiful!!

Es war absolut alles perfekt. Hab selten so ein freundliches Personal angetroffen. Ich gebe 9 von 10 Punkten. Der Punkt Abzug geht zu Lasten der Hellhörigkeit der Zimmer. Ich kann dieses Resort nur empfehlen und würde auch selbst jederzeit wieder hin.

Eine wirklich sehr schön gestaltete Anlage, mit einem tollen und sauberen Pool. Das gesamte Management vom Fahrer bis zur Rezeption ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Wir haben uns absolut wohl gefühlt und werden nächstes Jahr sicher wieder kommen.

Room was smelly and moldy. AC very old and loud during the night. Dirty stains on pillows on the chairs and and the curtains. Room and deco needs a serious makeover. Staff seems very unmotivated and not what you see elsewhere in Thailand. We had bug bites after the second night. The only positive thing here was the location as the beach is beautiful.

Schönes Hotel, schöne Zimmer. Wir hatten unsere Zimmer in der oberen Etage. So konnte man abends ungestört auf den großen Terrasse sitzen. Die Sitzmöbel könnten bequemer sein. Gelegentlich roch das Zimmer etwas muffig. Denke, die Badentlüftung ist nicht gut. Aber alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden.

Schöner Pool einfaches Frühstück aber mit Blick aufs Meer , kleines Riff zum Schnorcheln direkt rechts in der Bucht, zu beachten ist der Transfer vom Anleger zum Hotel unbedingt vorher im Hotel (800bht) oder auf dem Schiff buchen. Sehr freundliches Personal incl dem Manager

Gutes Hotel an einem wunderschönen Strand!
Das Havana Beach ist jederzeit wieder eine Reise wert! Das Hotel ist sauber und liegt direkt am wunderschönen Strand von Thong Nai Pan Yai. Die Zimmer sind sauber und es werden jeden Tag neue Strand- und Badhandtücher aus Zimmer gebracht. Zusätzlich werden jeden Tag zwei Flaschen Wasser kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt. Das Frühstück ist vollkommen ausreichend. Besonders die Omelettes waren lecker! Abends haben wir lieber bei einem nehegelegenen Foodmarkt gegessen, da dort das Essen günstiger und leckerer war.

Schöne Lage am ruhigen Traumstrand, super Frühstück und gepflegtes Hotel. Ein 7/11 sowie Restaurants und Bars sind zu Fuß über den Strand oder über die Straße (Sackgasse und kaum Verkehr) schnell zu erreichen.
