Loved it!

We loved this little property! It was quaint, the room was a nice size, breakfast was good, the service was friendly, and it’s right on the beach. The short walk to the main road is a nice buffer. This property was perfect for just us, but would also be lovely for a group.

Die Photos sind sehr geschönt. Sehr enge Platzverhältnisse vor dem Bungalow. Frühstück OK, aber mit Verspätung und langer Wartezeit. Außenbeleuchtung unseres Bungalows funktionierte nicht. Der Pool war eine bessere Badewanne. Ansonsten tolle Lage direkt am Meer.

This hotel is overpriced and a little rundown

I booked this hotel for my 70th birthday treat. It looked really nice on the Expedia website.On arrival the reception spoke no English so check in was a little difficult, no help with our luggage and the room and hotel were run down.Not worth the money I paid extremely dissapointed

Very over-priced, terrible service - good parts

This place could be so nice - the owner should be embarrassed. The place has a boutique feel, great location, small beach - but no effort made by staff to welcome guests or make the place feel nice. The 2 reception staff barely speak English (I know it's Thailand & not everyone has to speak English - but this is also a high tourist area!) and never smiled or attempted to say welcome, nice to see you, etc. The room was nice, clean, spacious, comfortable, good wifi - those are the good parts. The hot water in the shower was erratic - kept going hot/cold......didn't remain a constant temperature for more than 1-2 minutes. The breakfast is not buffet - there are 4 very basic meal options to choose from, and they serve these at the table. Very basic & unimaginative......including white 'cardboard' bread. With a bit of effort/pride, the breakfast could be a nice feature. If White Knot charged 1/4 of the price, it might be OK....but we stayed 3 nights at a slightly more expensive resort further south on Kaibae Beach, and the difference was marked - huge buffet breakfast spread, effort made, etc. White Knot appears to make no effort - and shouldn't be charging what they do. The beach is small - again could be so nice, but neglected and no effort to keep it clean. Some of the wicker beds had dried bird poo on them - wouldn't be hard to clean them off. Swimming pool is 5m x 2m - but the sea is right there. I can't recommend this place.

Ein schöner Ort zum entspannen: sehr ruhig, direkt an einem ruhigen Strandabschnitt und Hängematte inklusive. Sehr kleine Anlage (6 Bungalows), dadurch auch sehr überschaubar und erholsam; ein schönes Stück von der hektischen, lauten, touristischen Restaurant-Geschäfts-Meile an der Hauptstraße abgelegen.

Beautiful little spot on the beach.

4 nights in Koh Chang. This little resort was very nice. Very small pool but sister hotel has a beautiful one. Short scooter ride or a walk on the beach with several stairs to climb but with an impressive view from the pool. Great restaurants close by. One with orange boat out front with fish on display. (Cannot remember the name) This guy knows how to serve. Very pleasant, professional western style service, rarely found in Thailand. Awesome food. He spent 4 years studying English in the US. His name is Yay which means big in Thai so we called him Mr. Big. 555 or lol...

Limpio, tranquilo, a 10 pasos del mar!

Lo mejor de nuestro viaje a Tailandia ha sido hospedarse en The White Knot, el entorno natural y romántico le da otro toque al lugar, es muy acogedor y limpio, la playa está a 20 metros, apartado de todo ruido, tranquilidad garantizada, valió la pena el gastar un poco más. Queríamos quedarnos una noche más pero no había nada disponible, volveríamos sin duda y lo recomendamos enormemente si lo que se busca es tranquilidad en pareja ...no os preocupéis por la entrada, da la sensación de haber llegado al lugar equivocado pero una vez que estas dentro cambia todo! 10/10 pts. El staff no habla mucho inglés pero son muy atentos!

Smutsigt, ingrodd skit och oengagerad personal.

Det var vidrigt dåligt städat. Ingrodd smuts och dammigt. Har man minsta anlag för allergier ska man aldrig bo här. Var en liten damm utanför stugan, smutsigt vatten och en död groda som låg där 24 timmar. Enda anledningen att vi bodde kvar var att vi betalat för 4 nätter. Jag har bott i renare bungalower på stranden för 100 kr. Pinsamt dyrt här. På bilderna ser det bra ut, men det är slitet. Bra internet och många tvkanaler (4-5 film). Bra ac. Duschen var bra men vattnet rann undan dåligt. Vid ösregn så regnade det in. Glipor i fönstren "fixade" med pappersbitar. Gamla döda myror på golvet. Fick fråga om handduk, tömde inte skräpkorgarna. Oengagerad personal, en sopade med solglasögonen på sig. Idén med hotellet är bra men då måste det hållas efter. Funkar inte med massa prydnadssaker om de inte städas ordentligt. Stället bredvid såg bättre ut och är mycket billigare. Bo inte här.

brilliant!

when we arrived my boyfriend was not impressed which my choice! the place isn't very Thai and the pool was tiny he said. But after a brilliant night sleep in the most comforting hotel bed I have ever slept in we went for breakfast in the little restaurant area on the private beach. The breakfast was cooked to order and there was a good selection of western and Thai dishes we were starting to feel much better about the hotel! I asked about the pool and they said we could use their sister hotel which had a bigger pool, its located on the other end of the beach a nice 5/10 minuet walk along the deserted beach (we were there in rainy season). We were only booked into the hotel for 4 nights we loved it so much by the end we wanted to extend out stay but they were fully booked ( only had 6 rooms. We moved to the bigger sister hotel cliff beach resort and spent the rest of our time in koh chang there which was equality as nice, but a bit more weathered. guess this is expected on a tropical island.

Fint prisvärt resort med bra läge

Fint, litet resort med bara 6 bungalows vid Kai Bae beach. Härlig, egen strand med solstolar, hängmatta och gunga! Tyst och skönt läge. Huvudgatan i Kai Bae ett stenkast från resorten. Där fanns restauranger, massage och shopping.

jättemysigt och avkopplande

Vi bokade 3 hus av 5, och vi var otroligt nöjda! Jättemysigt och väldigt avkopplande! :) Det ligger avsides och är i ett väldigt lugnt och skönt område. Men ändå gångavstånd och nära till by-livet. Ligger i Kai bae och är ett av de lugnare områdena, vilket jag starkt rekommenderar. Små minus på hotellet var väl poolen kanske, som va otroligt liten (men det spelade inte sån stor roll, du hade ju ändå egen strand nedanför :D). Sen så lät AC:n väldigt högt på kvällen, och ena toalettfönstret så kunde det komma in lite små myror, men vi sprutade bort dom med vatten bara. Personalen kunde inte överdrivet bra engelska, men va hjälpsamma ändå. Området och husen är jättemysiga verkligen, men om man ska beställa mat, så får man vara beredd på att vissa rätter beställer dom från ett annat ställe, vilket gör att det kan ta lååång tid.. så beställ gärna mat som de gör på plats i så fall. Frukosten är jättebra, du får som tre rätters, med sallad+bröd först, sen ägg,bacon m.m. och avslutas med frukttallrik. te/kaffe/jucie också såklart. Jag skulle ge hotellet 4 av 5, och det är inte helt omöjligt att vi skulle komma tillbaka :D

Underbart litet ställe med trevlig personal och fantastiskt läge. Vi stannade bara 4 nätter och hade gärna valt några till. Nära till huvudgata med mat och shopping. Strand och botten lite sämre här än andra men helt duglig.

Hotel auf keinen Fall das Geld Wert!

Hab in Thailand in 600-900 Baht Bungalows Übernachtet, die bei weiten besser sind als "The White Knot". Ich weiß wovon ich spreche, da ich vom Fach bin. Soll aber nicht heißen, dass ich zu pingelig bin. Ich seh bei niedrigeren preisen auch mal über einiges hinweg. Doch wenn ich 60$ zahle, was auch für uns viel Geld ist, erwarte ich Sauberkeit, Freundlichkeit und das die Bilder annähernd das versprechen, was im Internet gezeigt wird. Im Zimmer war Schimmel, auf Bett und anderen Gegenständen hab ich Haare vom Vorgänger gefunden Zimmer hat gestunken. Als ich nach dem Manager gefragt habe Mr. Williams und ihm alles gezeigt habe, was da so abgeht, durften wir in die Zweite Anlage " The Cliff Beach Resort " zum gleichen Preis ziehen. Thank you Mr. Williams :). Also, ich rate euch von diesem Hotel ab.

Whilst Ko Chang was not our favourite Island on our trip, this hotel was. Small, but very cute with everything you need. Staff are great. Breakfast is included and is a feast. Bungalow is a great size and beds are comfortable. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a good priced hotel on the Island.
