"A handsome historic building in a lovely and convenient spot. We had a family room that didn’t quite match expectations based on the photos and description, but it was fine. The lobby sitting area was also lovely with lots of character and the breakfast room made me feel like I was there in the 1940s as a boarding school student — in a good way. The breakfast buffet selection was solid, with delicious bread and skyr and plenty more."

"We booked the best, most expensive room on the top floor with a view for 2 people (room 40) at Hotel Viking. We were disappointed that the room size was very small compared to what we are used to in the US. Upon entering the room the first thing we noticed was there was no place to put our 4 luggage bags - 2 carry-on and 2 full sized, as we had packed for a 10 day trip. I went to the front desk and asked for 2 luggage stands and they said they didn't have any. There was one tiny desk in the room...
