"Took a long time to get through the airport traffic for pickup, but once there and through the security, the reception area is large and spacious. The check in process is a little slow as they only have two agents working, but once again, they were very friendly and accommodating. The upgraded room with access to a lounge with drinks and small snacks was a wonderful welcome! Rooms are very clean, fresh, nice amenities. Did not get a change to use the pool or sauna, which would have been so nice-maybe next time to stay an additional day! Compared to the hotel in the airport, this is a substantial upgrade from what I was told by fellow travelers in our group. Just give yourself an extra half hour to get to the airport and enjoy this beautiful hotel. You won't regret it!"

"The Ramses was a great hotel but if you want to just go for a walk outside your hotel. The Ramses is on a busy main freeway and you can cross the street but if you have never been in Cairo. They have a saying in Cairo... if you want to cross the street... take a taxi... theere areno cross walks. People just cross infront of the traffic . Crazy traffic in Cairo. "
