"Sawmill Creek was a wonderful place to stay for a weekend trip to Cedar Point. It’s located about 20 minutes away (with traffic) from cedar point but that’s alright. It’s conveniently located between Huron and Sandusky so the food and drink options are endless. The rooms were pretty nice as well. Definitely would stay here again."

"The staff was very pleasant and genuine. I used to work at a hotel front desk and I know how difficult it can be at times if reservations come in through a 3rd party. The lady who checked me in was new and so pleasant and so friendly to my dog. The housekeeping and breakfast staff were pleasant and always said hello or good morning. The checkout lady was very cheerful and genuine. I will stay here again!"

"Yep there are trains running all the time like other reviewers stated. I left a 5 star review because of the price. I got 2 rooms with 2 queen beds in each room for less than $200 bucks. Most places had only double beds. The beds were very comfortable. I never saw the pool or hot tub so can’t comment on them. It’s 16 min to cedar point so very convenient for our trip. Staff was very nice. Also a 12 o’clock check out was Awesome since we didn’t leave cedar point until 12 am. Would...

"Here's the headline: this unassuming hotel in a not-very-busy part of Ohio is way better than it has any right to be. Sure, it's conveniently located but that's just the start. It's staffed by friendly, capable people who seem to actually care about the quality of your stay. They have Costa Coffee machines that, at a moment's notice at any time day or night will grind fresh beans and brew you a cup of coffee right quick. The breakfast is plentiful and varied. We're talking little omelettes...

"For the price, our stay was amazing! You want 2025 updates, stay elsewhere. You want a place to rest your head updated since COVID, get a room on the first floor with fridge and microwave. The main room is updated, but the bathroom will need an update sooner than later. If you aren’t looking to post your time here to social media this is the place to stay. "
