I love the smell of avgas in the morning! Airshow time!! Last year, the US government cut back on defense department spending, which cut into airshow performances around the United States. This year, the US Navy Blue Angels and the US Air Force Thunderbirds have been given the all-clear to perform at various shows around the country. This shot of two Blue Angels F-18 Hornets making a high speed and close pass was taken at the South Texas Airshow on March 29th, at Naval Air Station, Kingsville. Take lots if sunscreen, a hat, drink plenty if water and, of course, a camera with a decent zoom. This shot was taken at 200mm.

The room did not have a shower curtain. They gave us a different room and it did not have a shower curtain either. Had to keep going back and forth to do changes and we were in a hurry to check it because we had to be somewhere. When we came back we finally had a room and had to move all our stuff. ...
