I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. Had you raised these points with us when you were here we would have gladly given you a refund.I am sorry with your experience with the pool, but at the time of your visit it was closed for maintenance. We were having a new sand filter installed due to the failure of the old one. With no properly working sand filter it is not possible to vacuum the pool. The new sand filter is installed and working well. If you had asked us about the pool I would have explained the situation to you. The pool is now cleaned properly. Unfortunately this happened during your stay with us.We maybe short staffed, but we have no problems dealing with the concerns of our guests. Again if you had approached us with any of your concerns while your were staying with us for two days we could have dealt with it at the appropriate time.

HelloThank you for the review. Yes we serve our continental breakfast in a paper bag. We started doing it due to COVID regulations and decided to continue it afterwards as it seems to work well. We find that lots of guest wish to get out on the road quick and this allowed a quick way to pass out the continental breakfasts without much fuss or wait time. The continental breakfasts contain a bagel with spreads and a coffee. If guests wish to toast the bagel there is a bagel toaster in the breakfast area. If people are not in a rush and wish to sit down in the breakfast area to eat that is totally fine and there are enough tables and chairs laid out to carter to a full house.

Dear Anonymous, this is a very harsh assessment. It is true that the place is not newly build, but many things have been updated. You have slept on newly purchased beds and watched, if you did, tv on newly purchased units just ti name a few other things that have been updated in your room. Trust the rest of your holiday was more to your liking.

Dear Mark Ell, Thank you for your one star review. The doors maybe older, but they lock safely. We asked you to smoke in the designated area, which is located as prescribed by PEI legislation. We are a smoke free building and your smoking on the deck was offensive to others. The off-season breakfast we offer is not “continental”, but a simple one to get you started for the day. We expect all our guests to be civil and courteous of others whether desperate or not.

We answered your initial enquiry about ’main level’ as follows: “Your room with a Queen bed is on the upper level which is the 'main level' that you enter at the front of the motel, and where the guest lounge, or breakfast lounge, is located. Should you have an aversion to stairs, this would be the best selection for you, as you can park at the front of the motel and carry your bags through to your room.” Your response was: “Thanks, this will work for us. Looking forward to our visit.” Nothing was mentioned about ‘handicapped’. It would now appear your stay was, to generalize, Not What We Expected! and that is unfortunate but there is nothing we can do about that. Except to say, we too are so sorry about that.

Well, that’s amazing! The Singing Sands Beach is over two miles long. It’s too bad you didn’t get past the crowd that enjoys ‘the run’ to relax where the soothing waves and bird calls reflect the peaceful joy of days at the natural beach. Oh, well, we can’t please everybody! Your bed was a new name-brand with cushion toppers purchased in June 2017!

Thank you! Souris will appreciate the mention because that is where we send people looking for a choice in restaurants. The beach IS beautiful and clean and fresh and all yours for 3 km once you get away from the crowds of ‘run-jumpers’ where the Basin Head Lagoon (a Marine Protected Area) flushes out to the Northumberland Strait. This is a beach waiting to rejuvenate those who can appreciate sitting, sunning, reading a book, watching the birds and listening to the winds and waves – enjoyment now too frequently replaced by pay-per-entertainment!
