The hotel is getting ready for a facelift, but the staff were helpful and friendly, and the food was good.towels were changed daily, but strangly, the bed wasnt made???

lovely room with scenic view. Delicious breakfast. Further from Kilwinning then I hoped Also read about the amazing shower, but didn't have that in room 10. Also I had to pay extra for an early check in. Which was disappointing as I was going to a funeral

Hotel is older with no upgrades except window replacement, feels like a hotel from 1940/1950s, pretty run down. Almost couldn’t take shower in morning due to lack of water pressure and water temperature inconsistency. The hot water heat didn’t kick in until after 8:30am. Hotel owners (a couple) were very nice.

I suppose you would call it rustic but very nice. The room was, although in need of a refurbishment in some areas, very comfortable with a lovely big bed. It had everything required for a good nights stay, the staff were very friendly and we had a very good meal in the restaurant. We didn’t look around the area but there was a mill next door which I believe is open to the public. Only had porridge for breakfast so can’t really comment on that.

The food is absolutely amazing, especially the fries. You can tell a lot about a chef from his fries and these and triple cooked and perfect. The Cajun chicken with salt and pepper fries is very very tasty and I thoroughly recommend it! The hotel is very easy to get to and I have been staying here for the last 12 weeks without any slightest issue, only praise. The wifi is excellent throughout the hotel with just a few low spots here and there which is to be expected with an old building.

Lovely hotel lovely staff shower needed looking at there was an incident on the evening that we stayed but was out of the controll of staff members and it will not stop us staying there again Staff were more than appologetic and resolved the situation well.
