Kauri Park Motel offers quality accommodation in peaceful surrounds run by our family who are dedicated to making sure our guests have a wonderful stay in the Bay of Islands.We remind people that the Motel has a 7 day cancellation policy and we reserve the right to take one night payment any time after booking that becomes non refundable inside 7 days.In this case the Guest was asked to cancel their booking via Expedia and they did not. Under these circumstances the Motel still had an obligation to hold the reservation made by the Guest via Expedia, which we did.We request that our international travellers take out appropriate travel insurance to cover incidental costs due to flight cancellation to avoid circumstances such as this.
