Clean room but not great area

The room itself seemed fine — clean, bed reasonably comfortable. Photos online are accurate. But we arrived pretty late and the area and property did not feel safe. Front desk is fully behind glass and has a big wall of security footage. Several people were sitting in the parking lot for no apparent reason (this was around midnight). We ended up leaving after an hour to stay in a different part of town. Person at front desk asked no questions and seemed unsurprised when we said we had to check out early.

We were checking in after a storm and hotel had no power. They were very accommodating and offered to let us cancel with no fees to go elsewhere. We didn't. Newer hotel and kept of well. No coffee or continental breakfast due to COVID, but not their fault. Very pleased

Great for Business Stay

Location was good. Price was phenomenal. I would stay here again. The surrounding left a little to he desired. There is not much to walk to in the area. However, there are so many restaurants and stores within 2 miles, the location was still very good for convenience.

New Hotel

Nice new hotel in the Katy area. Its just like other Palace Inn's I've stayed at. Rooms have refrigerator, microwave, iron. 2 bottles of water are provided free of charge. TV is large mounted flat screen with Dish Network channels, which I like much better than DirecTV. Breakfast is pastries, coffee, juice, gatorade. They also have a slushy machine with 2 flavors. Rooms have large desk area and plenty of plugs in good locations, including USB. Internet was easy to connect to and was good for gaming and light streaming. Be careful entering and exiting. There is a large building next door under construction and I always worry about picking up a nail from careless construction workers. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Housekeeping excellent as well.
