The hotel is luxurious, comfortable and has some quirky design features. The bar area was comfortable and our room was very comfortable with a soft bed and powerful shower. Only downside was that we had a heavy snowfall overnight but the hotel (strangely) didn’t have a brush they could lend us to sweep the snow off the roof of our car. It would have been good if they were helpful.

What a wonderful find. Hotel is an old monastery from the 1400’s with all of the character you would expect, with modern finishes. Dinner at the hotel was good and convenient.

This was a very unique experience. The building was a former monastery from the 1100s. We stayed on one of the upper floors which had low-clearance, original beams. I’m 6’4” and had to duck a lot. Maybe that wouldn’t be too fun for an extended stay. It was nice to have a cathedral ceiling. I think this was only in a few rooms. Bed was typical German stiff and slightly uncomfortable. Breakfast buffet was one of the best of our trips so far. The Christmas market was only a 10 minute walk away.

Lovely and historic

A lovely and historic property attached to an old church. Beautiful courtyard, intimate bar, and a nice dining room. Excellent staff service at front desk and in restaurant. My only complaint is the size of the room I was given. Tiny and with great sun exposure, was too worn. Luckily, the hotel provided a small fan but it was noisy. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel.

A mid evil Abby converted to a hotel. Our three room suite was quite large and beautifully furnished. The staff are friendly and helpful. Located next to a river and a huge park, there’s both serenity and activity easily available. I think the hotel is in a ideal location when visiting Kassel.

My favourite hotel in Kassel. The room was clean with a nice bathroom. The duvet was the standard single on a double bed. Not the most comfortable for me. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast and evening meals.
