Felt like staying in a farm
The good - Location. Right next to the beach. Easy access for swimming and good snorkelling. Free sunbeds available for guests. Dinner food and cocktails were decent. The not so good - Dated cottages with doors that don't close properly. Lizards, ants and other bugs inside the room and bathroom. Farm animals held next to the cottages. We were awoken at 5am each morning by roosters crowing and other animal noises. Overall poor noise isolation inside the acommodation. Loud noise from surrounding palm trees hitting the roof due to wind. Overall we did not have a good night sleep a single night and felt tired throughout the stay. Breakfast below average with half of the food cold. Few nice staff members but mostly apathetic. We had nicer service in other hotels in Bali. Adds 15% service charge to any food or drinks you buy. Service charge is common in Bali but this is the highest we've seen for frankly mediocre service. Expected more for €110 per night. Wish we had payed a bit extra for a 5 star acommodation instead.

This property is the best location right on the beach where we snorkelled and saw turtles, coral and heaps of fish without catching a boat. A couple of the staff took us via motorcycle to sunset point in Amed. Truely beautiful. Thanks for your Bali hospitality.

Unpleasant Stay
The room had dim lighting and seemed quite old. There was a very strong pig dung smell which made our stay very unpleasant. There wasn't much choice for breakfast too. Housekeeping is only available upon request.

Stayed a night with family and with the current condition, I understand that there will be lack of service, however, they are trying their best to fulfilled what we needed. I genuinely thank you for that and we indeed had a nice stay.

If you are looking for a good value and beach side bungalow for a family than this hotel is good choice. We like the hotels promise to reduce single use plastic by providing drinking fountains throughout the complex. The area is mainly focused on water sports and there isn't a large focus outside of that.

The location of the hotel is the best in the area. It is located in Lipah beach off Amed. It is way quite then Amed, nicer and cleaner area. The specific location at the north end of Lipah beach bay is great. Clean sand without all the fishing boat that located just south of the hotel. So clean view and walk straight from the hotel. The cottage was quite standard Bali style with huge bad which was not really great since it was 2 double bed joined together which was annoying. Quite a few warongs and restaurants walking distance including indo mart so need for scooter. Great location for just relaxing and chill out. Good snorkelling just outside the hotel. The hotel services could be better, specifically the room cleaning. Every day we had to ask for something, either clean towels, re-fill of instant coffee, clean glasses, etc. The room was not cleaned every day, just the beds were made (but no change of sheets...-( Having saying that, we would choose this hotel again when we will visit this area again.

Wonderful stay in Amed at Lipah beach
We stayed in the family bungalow and found it to be extremely comfortable. The King bedroom itself was very large with a separate area that had two twin beds and included two separate air conditioning units too. It had the most beautiful indoor/outdoor bathroom with a stone tub, two rainfall shower heads and double stone sinks. The restaurant was excellent (gamalong musician included) and the service genuinely friendly. I appreciated the fact that they supply glass bottles and free cold filtered water refill stations on the property instead of using piles of plastic bottles! It was also on the prettiest area of Lipah beach with great snorkeling off the beach. I was sorry we weren’t staying longer!

Traditional style right on Lipah Beach
Traditional style individual rooms set in well established and maintained tropical gardens right on Lipah Beach, with a good sized and clean swimming pool and restaurant on the beach. Our room (34) was well appointed in the traditional style with two king single beds pushed together making it the biggest bed we’ve ever slept in. Despite its enormous size the room wasn’t cramped and the open air bathroom was also a good size. The restaurant menu was quite good and varied enough for breakfast and lunch for the 5 days we were there and we ate out a couple of nights. The staff were friendly and helpful, the place was well maintained and the stay peaceful and laidback. Like most guests we spent our days relaxing, swimming, eating and napping!

Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating. Went out of their way the whole time we were there, especially when we were sick towards the end of our stay. Lovely cottages with immaculate gardens. Food was excellent. Would recommend this place to anyone for a couple or family looking for a quiet get away.

Best spot on the beach
This hotel is in the best spot on the beach. Loved the snorkeling and the pool. The family villa was awesome. The bathroom was amazing. Breakfast was delicious with homemade yogurt and jams. We did not want to leave!

Best spot in Amed.
First time visiting Amed and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Such lovely staff, location and cottages. The grounds were so tidy and well kept. The pool was so clean and refreshing, the best temperature. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the meals at the restaurant were super yummy. Good food, good people, good fun. We’ll definitely be back.

I'm coming back!
We loved staying here. The hotel was full yet not too busy as it is small. Loved the individual cottages, so clean and comfy. The staff were excellent. Fabulous location right on the glittery black sand and you can snorkel all over the bay from the front. Not the most fantastic coral in the world but plenty to see and we watched a turtle for ages. Most impressed by the Lipah beach area as locals obviously respect their environment - at Johny's warung the lady makes bamboo straws to sell in between cooking, Green Coco has delicious organic and authentic Balinese food, our hotel had#saynotoplastic straws, the beach was free from rubbish and there is a no jetski/ kiteboard/ windsurf policy - just for divers, snorkelers and the local boats. Beautiful place. Can't wait to come back.

We fell in love with this hotel! True paradise!
We had an amazing 3 nights stay at Hidden paradise hotel. The beach in front is so picturesqe with the black sand, an amazing sight. Although the hotel was almost fully booked al the areas were quiet and sometimes we had their amazing pool to ourselves. The breakfast was nice and included coffee/ herbal/ black tea, bread jams etc, yougurt with jam and muesli and you have options for fruit salad/ smoothie, eggs or pancake. Lunch and dinner was also very nice although we really loved our dinner at the coral views restaurant, honey roast ribs and rosemary potato pizza. Staff were very polite and provided fast service. Try to get a room closer the pool/ beach to avoid traffic noise, although this seased at late evening and was not a problem. All in all Paradise! We will definitely return!

Perfect stay in Amed.
Superb location at the beach. Nice bungalows in a daily maintained, lovely garden. No traffic, no noise. Just the waves and the wind. Awesome staff and delicious food in a restaurant where you watch the sunrise and the fishermen coming back from the sea. We have been there with our 2 kids in a family bungalow with an outdoor bathroom and we enjoyed every second of our stay. The only thing to increase is the water quality in the pool, but this was already under review.

Peaceful stay
The property is beautiful and so are the cottages. Lovely view of the beach from the restaurant as well. We were allowed an early check in as we arrived at 6 in the morning which we really appreciated. Only thing to keep in mind is that there is absolutely no staff before 7 am. So travel has to be planned accordingly. Also, no room service and there are no phones to contact the reception from the room. It was still a pleasant stay overall.

Timeout from the bustle
This place is an oasis. If you want to just stop the world and get off for a while this is the place to do it. We were totally rejuvenated at the end of our stay. The wonderful surroundings and the friendliness of the amed community was overwhelming. We will be back.

It was a nice hotel but not as nice as the pictures. Staff was very stand offish but if you are looking for absulote quiteness this is the place for you. Too quite for me and was told to turn off my music by the pool even though it was not loud.The guy s and ladys working the beach peddling were a little pushy but not as bad as some places. Not alot to do around there in the evening. No were to sit like a little bar area to get to know anyone.

Young family snorkeling trip
4 nights with two children aged 6 and 10. This is a wonderful place that is unbelievably family friendly. All room types are fantastic and the beach, pool, and snorkeling areas are fantastic. Breakfast is free and fresh. Snorkels, masks, and fins are available to rent at several locations on the beach. Talk to Franky near the beach area for cheap snorkeling trips to the sunken Japanese ship wreck from WWII or fishing trips for Mahi-Mahi and Tuna. We absolutely loved our stay there.

On first impression I was not overly impressed in that our room had not had A/C turned on prior to our arrival - so was hot and stuffy. The hotel itself was very nice, peaceful and well laid out and the staff were very friendly and helpful. On the down side though the chairs in the restaurant were not overly comfortable to sit at for any period of time and for my wife and I, we would have liked a bit of background/ambience music (Balinese) in the restaurant area. The food was very nice for main meals, but the breakfast was quite limited and every day I had to ask for the rice or noodle dishes to be warmed up as they were cold. The Coffee jug was left to run out before it was refilled so got very 'bitty' towards the end. If you want transfer from airport - ask around first as we paid double of what we paid on the return trip. The main attractions is off course diving - for us we went snorkelling but was very disappointed to see other tourists standing on the coral, there is a small notice in the information book about protecting the coral, but I think the hire shop could try to let people know how fragile the coral is as it won't be there for long if it is not looked after - and then the area will suffer as there wont be a major attraction.

You'll extend your stay
Lots of people who stayed at the same time as us also extended their stay here, it's very relaxing. Only downsides (at a push) was air conditioning not being very strong so the room was hot at night and there's only one lounger outside your room - pretty minor. Snorkelling along the beach is amazing, food in area is good.

My wife and I truly enjoyed our 5 nights here. We were looking for a more quiet place after the hustle and bustle of Kuta. While offering an enjoyable atmosphere for just hanging out by the beach or pool, reading on the porch or enjoying an interesting menu at the restaurant it also offers a god starting point to many great attractions. Also, you can snorkel right out to some great coral right from the beach that is connected to the hotel. However, I must say that our favorite part was the hotel staff, they made us feel safe and welcome from the beginning and it started to feel like we were family.

Das Hidden Paradies Cottage ist eine sehr gepflegte Bungalow Anlage. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Die Ausstattung ist einfach und einwenig in die Jahre gekommen was dem Ambiente keinen Abbruch tut. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist einfach nur traumhaft mit schwarzem Sandstrand vor der Tür und einem so gut erhaltenen Riff wie es selbst in Ägypten selten zu finden ist. In der Bucht kann man alles sehen was man sich wünscht…. bunte Fische Schildkröten ein Schiffswrack und sogar Babyhaie. Wahnsinn!!!

Snorkeling et bon restaurant
Très bel hôtel formé de bungalows. Le lit est gigantesque et la literie impeccable (on a très bien dormi).Le restaurant avec vue sur sur mer est excellent. On sent qu'il y a un effort pour limiter notre impact. Le wifi fonctionne assez bien. Au pied d'un spot de snorkeling (celui au pied du resto Vienna est un peu mieux et vous pouvez y aller à pied depuis la plage). Seul petit bémol, la douche fraîche (peu ou pas d'eau chaude) et le 'pollen' des arbres qui fait comme une pellicule sur la piscine (mais on apprécie l'ombre que les arbres apportent).
