Fabulous!!
This place was fabulous. Beautiful room with huge balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. Cool outdoor shower/bathroom and comfortable bed. Friendly staff and yummy food! Wish we could've stayed longer.

Mixed feelings....
The staff was attentive and tried to help as much as they could. Best rooms are on the top but you'll climb up a long set of stairs and the rail is not always secure. The view of the ocean from the balcony is wonderful and we rested well that nigh. Breakfast was simple but good. Bring a headlamp as there's minimum lighting on the property at night. The hotel is on the hill side and you'll have to find a way thru other hotels to reach the beach. We booked a superior room (the only room available on hotels.com) but the owner came the next morning and asked for an extra 100k RP for the room we moved in the night we arrived. The standard room they tried to place us in was a dump....literally! We told the young receptionist we booked a "superior" room so she showed us a better room, on the top floor. It looked exactly as in the picture when we booked it! However, it seems that it hasn't been used in a while as the sheets looked dirty to us and there were spider webs around the bed frame. Also, they have an extra single bed in the room which makes it difficult to move around one side of the double bed... I got electrocuted trying to get the only bed lamp work.. When I mentioned that to the owner, next morning, he didn't care at all. We ended up cancelling the rest of the reservation and moved to a beach hotel.

Fantastic location with sea views
Located in between both stunning snorkeling beaches and villages along Amed Coast Loved having the freshly cooked breakfast watching the sea and the local traffic passing below The swimming pool's views are spectacular, rooms are big with huge en suits. Highly recommend a stay.

Not recommended.
Looks like a great place, could be if, the "free" breakfast was not miserly portion and only allowed one cup of coffee, served in a small chipped cup every day. Room was not cleaned throughout 6 day stay, no outside light working, when I asked was told it was because air con! Dribble of water from bathroom sink, when asked the owner just shrugged his shoulders and asked if I wanted to book a trip somewhere! Nice pool though but food in 'restaurant ' overcooked and served with cold rice. Would not stay here again.

The room was clean. The view was awesome. The breakfast was very small and not very good. The door of our room needed repair. Wifi worked in the room but better on the deck. The water in the pool was not very clear. Very good service. Limited English.

Best place to stay in Amed
The room is very big. All amenities provided, including another big bed for children. It can sleep 4 adults. The balcony faces straight to the ocean, with breaatthtaking view. You can review your life here in serenity. Room is very clean too, including the underbed. Open toilet with a wall cutout view toward the ocean. Hot water and great water pressure.

Room with beatiful seaview
We stayed in this peaceful hotel 4 nights. Good base to do some diving. We really enjoyed the sunset from the balconny. Excelent price/quality rate.

When we first arrived we were warmly welcomed by all staff. When the owner arrived awhile later he tried to sell us boat tickets to Gili- constantly. When we told him we booked with someone else he bacame very angry. The next morning he yelled at us in front of our young children telling us we had to pay more money for the hotel as we had children with us. We explained that in two months of traveling Bali we never had to pay extra for our children. His yelling and meanness towards us was upsetting the children so we agreed on a price so that he would stop. Our only bad experience in Bali- and all because we would not book our boat trip thru him.

Stunning view...Poor hospitality...
Overall the staff were unprofessional and didn't speak enough English to be helpful. The balcony view and the outdoor shower were spectacular and almost made of for the lack of hospitality. We met the owner in the evening, and he spoke fluent English and was very helpful. The coffee wasn't very good, but the banana pancakes for breakfast were fabulous and served with a heaping plate of fresh fruit. In the morning an older man played guitar and sang to us while we ate breakfast, which was quite nice. It was a bit uncomfortable later though when I was the only guest at the pool later and after watching me in the pool he came over right after I started laying out and asked if he could play for me. Upon leaving, we wanted a moto taxi to take us to Amed. The sweet girl with very limited English asked someone next door to translate. Then they all began a discussion in Bahasa about how much to charge us, laughing and discussing amongst themselves. I felt very disrespected and surprised by their lack of helpfulness and attempt to take advantage of us. We ended up walking out with our backpacks and heading to town on foot and eventually ran into someone more helpful. He got another guy to come and they took us to town for IDR25,000 a piece. Overall I think if the owner would have been around more our stay would've been immensely better. Even though I loved the sunrise and breeze we could see and feel from our balcony and room, I wouldn't stay again.

great pool and sea view
Beten Waru is a small hotel with just a handful of bungalows clustered around a pool above street level. We booked three nights and extended our stay which may already give away how we felt about this place. It's great value for what you pay, beautifully designed, very private, the pool is fantastic and you can look over the entire Bali Sea from there. The bed was comfy, the mosquito net helped and the A/C powerful enough to guarantee a good night's rest. As often the case in Bali (and in accommodations at that rate) the bathroom is basic and the breakfast simple.

Otrevlig och illa förberedd personal.
Den otrevligaste personal jag träffat på något hotell! Gjorde allt för att sno åt sig några extra rupier. Påstod t ex att åldersgränsen för barn gick vid 8 år och krävde extra ersättning för vår nioårige son trots att bekräftelsen från er angav två vuxna + ett barn 9 år. Krävde sen också extra ersättning för en tredje frukost trots att bekräftelsen angav inklusive frukost för tre personer. När hotellchefen, efter att noga studerat vår bekräftelse, påstod att Hotel.com lurat oss och att vi bara betalat för EN natt trots att det klart och tydligt angavs två, gav vi upp och lämnade hotellet tidigare än planerat.

Проживали неделю.Весьма неплохое бунгало с прекрасным пейзажем,но все остальное весьма плачевно.Уборки за неделю никакой.Я уже не пишу об уборке в номере,но уж подмести черный песок с террасы и убрать выставленный на улицу пакет с мусором можно бы было,но нет.Ни разу.Готовят ужасно,хоть завтрак,хоть на заказ.Да вообще с питанием беда.Во всех ближайших заведениях с этим оказалось туговато.Зато похудел за неделю.Место скучноватое,днем пляж,а часов в 8 можно и почивать.Жизнь замирает,тишина и умиротворение.Персонал в течении дня как сонные мухи,живут своей жизнью,и нам не мешают.В общем,если вы любите купание и созерцание прекрасных подводных и морских пейзажей,езжайте смело,только вот к счастью есть места и поближе.Но вообще путешествуя по Бали Амед стоит посетить,но дня 2-3 не более,реально скучно.Да и в плане что-то купить тоже проблема,даже фрукты,только если ехать на мотобайке,а в пешей доступности ничего нормального нет.

Очень грязный отель, как номер, так и территория. Персонал предпочитает сидеть в кафе или лежать на кровати в свободном номере. Вокруг бассейна могут лежать почти куски грязи и земли и это никого не смущает. Завтрак худший из возможного, есть там нечего, но больше коробит не это, а то что принесут вам его в побитой посуде, отколотой со всех сторон. Видимо руководство отеля считает, что обновлять годами ничего не нужно, и так пойдет. Наверное, когда-то это был хороший отель, но запустили его ужасно. Интернета кстати нет в номерах, не ловит. Единственный плюс - шикарный вид с балкона на океан. Ну и наличие кондиционера.

A lot better that I expected!
This little hotel was a pleasant surprise. The view from our balcony was absolutely fantastic! Our room had some little promlems, like only one hanger in the wardrobe and a toilet seat not so steady, but all together I think that the view is something that made all these little things disappear. It is good to know, that the hotel is located in hillside and the stairs are not for little children, but for bigger children or healthy adult its no problem. The hotel reception man, Yudha, is really a customer service professional. He made everything he could to make us ( me and my children aged 8&12 ) feel happy and content. This hotel is owned by a local family and the whole family was really warmhearted. They also helped us to get the fastboat tickets to Gili islands. I would stay in this hotel again.

Gastvrij hotel.
Heb veel plezier gehad met jonge personeel v hotel. Zijn een avondje uit geweest met scooters naar een leuke tent in Amed. Het was erg gezellig! De staff is erg behulpzaam en zijn erg gastvrij.grote kamer en schoon. De jonge meiden kunnen erg lekker koken. Groot terras met uitzicht op zwembad en daarachter de zee. Heb voor 1 dag een scooter gehuurd via de zoon v eigenaar. Mocht ik weer naar Amed gaan dan boek ik weer dit hotel.Judah, en de rest van personeel:bedankt voor de gezellige en gastvrije dagen bij Beten Waru. Sampai jumpa!! greetz from "Ibu Joyce"

Pied à terre simple et sympathique
Nous avions choisi ce pied à terre pour sa localisation géographique qui permet de longer et d'accéder à de nombreuses criques et baies de sables noires. L’hôtel en lui même est simple : une piscine d'extérieur pour se détendre en début et fin de journée. Il fait aussi restaurant. Notre chambre, dans la continuité, n'offrait pas de réfrigérateur ni de télévision mais tout se passe dehors ou sous l'eau, donc pas de manque majeur. Petit conseil cependant : pensez à anticiper la location de scooter pour vous déplacer afin de pouvoir profiter pleinement de la région.

- Hôtel excentré besoin de louer un scooter - Le personnel est très gentil, ne comprend pas trop l anglais, mais peut être à cause de mon niveau mediocre. - La piscine est vraiment le point fort de l hôtel,les transats sont un peu en mauvais état. -La chambre au dernier étage avec douche à ciel ouvert vraiment chouette - La terrasse avec vue sur la mer - Les draps étaient propres mais avec des tâches... Pro: Alle Zimmer haben einen tollen Meerblick / Poolblick mit Terrasse. Die Betten sind komfortabel. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert und insgesamt scheint es sicher zu sein, wie fast überall in Amed. Con: Das größte Manko ist der aufdringliche und nervige Manager, der immer wieder tagtäglich schlecht auffallen wollte, mit neuen überteuerten Angeboten, doppelter Abkassierung, Überredung zu gefakten Bewertungen etc. Er versuchte sogar, dass wir nicht über Expedia buchen, damit er Gebühren spart, machte uns dann aber einen 20% teureren Deal. Mitarbeiter sind dementsperechend schlecht geführt. (faul) Zimmerreinigung nach 4 Nächten, nach Aufforderung. Klopapier, Handtücher muss man immer nach fragen. Frühstück wie gewohnt karg/ verbrannt/ unrein. Küche insgesamt kein guter Eindruck. Für Leute die sich ihren Urlaub selbst gestalten können in Ordnung. Wenn man aber eine Tourenplanung, Rollerverleih oder gute Beratung erwartet, der ist an der falschen Adresse.

great place - don´t miss it
We are a family of 4 - kids age 7+10. We loved our stay at Beten Waru, Amed. We stayed 7 days - Amed area are very laid back - not much to do apart of relaxing and enjoying the beach and good snorkeling (perfekt for children because you can do it directly from the beach) - perfect for us because that was what we wanted :-) The beach are aprox 15 min walk - go right from the hotel and go left at Cafe Indah (we used the Cafe as "base" and left our things there when we went snorkling - the staff there are great) The kids loved the pool - fantastic view of the ocean from the pool and from the rooms - don´t miss the sunrise. The staff are very helpful and we used the restaurant a lot - simpel but very good menu We had the owner to pick us up in the airport - worked fine and we went on a tour to Tirta Gangga and Besakih (ask him to go to the coffee plantation as well) we enjoyed that trip a lot (bring you own sarong - don´t buy one at Besakih unless you are very good at bargaining :-) The Wifi only works from the restaurant and are very slow. We had a great time and hope to come back one day

Vi havde bestilt 10 overnatninger, men da vi kom til hotellet tog vi derfra med det samme. Der var mange trapper som var direkte farlige at bruge da der ikke var gelænder. Værelset var ikke hyggeligt, der var kun en seng intet andet. Badeværelset var også meget skrabet. Poolen meget lille og haven var nærmest et stort rod. For at komme til stranden skal man langt ned af en tilgroet sti. Området var meget rodet. Nu kan vi forstå hvorfor det er så billigt. Dette er ikke et hotel for personet over 60+, måske for unge dykkere som skal have et billigt sted at sove.

개미가 너무 많은 방갈로
서비스는 좋으나 위치가 스노쿨링 하는곳과 가까운점 말고는 무서운곳에 있음. 청소를 안해줘서 개미가 엄청많음
