"I recently stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton Kampala and overall it delivered a solid, dependable experience in a very convenient location.
The hotel is well positioned in Kampala, making it easy to access key business areas, restaurants, and main routes across the city. For anyone travelling on business, the location works particularly well.
Rooms are modern, clean, and well maintained. The layout is practical, with comfortable bedding, good workspace, and reliable WiFi, which is essential for working while travelling. Housekeeping standards were consistent throughout the stay.
Security is visibly taken seriously. There are controlled entry points, screening on arrival, and a reassuring presence of trained staff, which is important in this environment and aligns with what you would expect from an international brand.
Service was professional and efficient. Staff were approachable, responsive, and handled requests without unnecessary delay. Check-in and check-out processes were smooth and well managed.
The facilities, including the restaurant and rooftop pool area, are well kept and provide a good environment to unwind after a working day. Food quality was good, with a decent variety catering to both local and international preferences.
If there’s an area for improvement, it would be minor refinements in service speed during peak times, but nothing that significantly impacts the overall experience."
"I have tried several hotels in Kampala and this one is the very best , perhaps being outside of Nakasero where my workplace is, made it a bit unappealing but the overall hospitality experience is excellent. Kudos to Angela at reception ..."
"I am a frequent traveller to Uganda, as I work in the travel industry. I rarely ever write reviews. I have stayed at the Latitude many times since it opened. What was once my favourite, and the best hotel in Kampala, has now become tired and very run down. Management has made unfortunate decisions with the layout - the buildings and pool areas look tired, unreliable wifi in common areas, and the staff could use some encouragement as they are not engaged. Latitude is a boutique hotel - the decision to move the gym in favour of another conference room was unfortunate. The gym used to be amazing. There are more than enough other conference hotels in Uganda! The food is overpriced, generally confusing menu (no prices listed on some menus), and really just overall lacking. Most notably, one morning the entire staff was eating from the breakfast buffet, while I was trying to get the last remaining food as a guest. The design, food, and layout/vibe of the hotel, which made the place so special - is no more. Very disappointed. We actually checked out early to move hotels. Of course, no refund or special accommodations. I will not return until management makes some changes. "
