Didn’t realize when I booked it that it wasn’t just off the highway. That’s my error for not checking location on a map.
The underground parking is where they make you park, but it’s open access to anyone and unmonitored and plenty of reviews and even signs on the underground lot mention not to leave anything in the car. I didn’t feel safe leaving my car there but there was no other choice.
Got locked out of my room, the keycard would make the noise that the door was unlocked, but then the door would not open. Went down to front desk and got keycards re-keyed. Back to the fourth floor to my door, and keycards still did not work. It made the sound, but door didn’t budge. Went back down to front desk. They accused me of closing the latch (how can you do that from the outside? - just how would I have done that!????).
They said maintenance would meet me at the door. All maintenance did was jiggle the door know and say “sometimes you gotta use force and jiggle the knob upwards, that’s all”.
Made me feel like I was a huge inconvenience for not using body force to push door open and having the savy-ness to jiggle the doorknob upwards and not downwards like what is normal.
Okay, if that’s so obvious and All staff knows this, why don’t you inform the guests when they say the keycards don’t work?
While the hotel was great, and I highly recommend other signature locations, I would never say at this specific location again.
